Had an operation in Dec 08 , bit of plumbing work but could not remove the mass. Jan 09 started Chemo and Feb 09 Radiation .
Decided not to renew my membership in 09 as too sick.. What hurt was I got a call from Luke Ball asking why I had not renewed ..
Anyway ... 12 months on I am still here so chin up buddy ..... the Saints did us proud ...... 2010 who knows !!!
It puts the whole thing into perspective doesn't it?
There are parallels also. AJ, you've improved as have the Saints this year.
And we're going to keep on improving under Lyon.

Chin up mate

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

i didnt actually get to any of the games this year either, tired to but as you know depends on the week you have....and then you have a good week, and you think about who is sitting next to you..do the have a cold or will i have a bad hour need to get home..what about the train...

but my goals in place for next year, i would like to get to 4 games, then save myself for a big day in september (for 5!)

thanks for the kind words

although it might seem silly, but footy and the saints really gets me through, or just something to concentrate on. i love it, being a passionate supporter really leaves me little time to sit round and sook or moan. (although i am prone to it every now and then  )

im ready for another season next year, i - we all gotta get through the hard times, pull it together cos no way in hell am i missing a season!!

bring on 2010, its going be a big year, and ross said it himself if your not prepared to work...then get going!!! (im not crazy to assume he was talking to me!)

Not silly at all, had to deal with my son being assulted and the aftermath
Still not as hard as you have had it. The one thing I know the Saints (and the Storm) have given us great comfort and a good distraction.

So I hope you are able to enjoy as much as possible our flag next year and get to a few games.

Ross is a great coach and does give us comfort our club is in good hands and am looking foward to 2010

I love this club

Well I plucked up the courage....it was either delete....or watch......so I watched the last qtr and I could not believe how much of that game we had by the balls.

I truly know why Bomber Thompson was so humble and mumbling how "very very lucky"Geelong were.......cause geezus they got lucky...make no mistake we gave this one away.....thats the pain bit...

It actually made me feel better.

We had MULTIPLE chances to score....and WTF was going through the umps head when Sneider was molested 30 out????

Demptser......and how close was Milnes cross to a goal square Riewoldt mark......even Kosi......so close to the ball landing in his lap......and the moment where @ss kicks in.....Dawson makes an awesome stop on Anlett in the guts only to see that p!ssant Scarlett toe poke it back to the king "i want a brownlow daddy"....FRRK.

+1 Teffers. That call on Schneids was a disgrace.

Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Milton, im with you on this on... watched the replay, lets face it, everyones talking about, and i thought might put it in a little more prespective...

but no, instead of getting "closure" and that gezz we were unlucky there comfort...i got really pis**d off.

to many errors,
what really is looked on as great contest and worthing grand final, should of been a smashing on the score board.

Promised myself thats it for replays, but im putting SEN on notice...one more "gutsy saints" add and im going to throw a fit!

I don't think I've ever been so frustrated- a stellar year and we don't get the results. As an old neighbour said to me -a couple of your blokes didn't have a go..and I guess that's right. Our finals forward line was Roo doing most of the work and the rest making up numbers..thank God for our great defence. I guess RL will now be formulating a forward game, as we have the defensive game to kill for.
