We'll soon find out because if he's after just money, he'll end up in Sydney. And if that's how he is... then they can have him.

on the other hand, if he did take a massive cut because he wants a flag, then that's a good enough signal for me, that we should get him.
Couldn't agree more. IF he is willing to take the pay cut, grab him at all costs! If he refuses to budge, move on. If he wants to play, he will have to take the cut as NO team will pay that much money for him with the exception of *perhaps* Sydney.

If they pick him up at the expense of Kosi, NO WAY!
Be interesting to see if any of our players may consider less favourable terms in order to accomodate him.

One thing I would like to add, since I can still say it.

BRENDON FEVOLA IS MAX HUDGETON'S BITCH!

Always was, always will be.

So am I. Would you rather look at Fevola or captain Gouges bike?

Spot on mate...

Fev says "I want to be at St Kilda & I'm willing to sacrifice the cash & do what Rossco wants me to do"... brilliant.

If he ends up elsewhere that can afford him.... good luck to him.

This.

If the Swans are likely to get Seaby, then their rucks can be Jolly, Seaby, Goodes, they can afford to trade White for Fevola

Also they will be off-loading Hall, so they need another FF. Could end up being a 3-way deal with WB
Why would they want to trade white? he'll be a gun forward and unlike Fev he'll be around for their next premiership tilt.
Because IF the Swans want Fevola, they will have to give up something decent - for the Coleman medal winner

They need to replace Hall, and might favour a high profile player
If you were on the way down after losing some of ur best players from retirement with most of your other best players over or almost 30 would you trade your young forward for the next 10 years for someone who won't be around for your next premiership window?
I wouldn't. But the maybe the Swans can't afford to bottom out and go totally with youth

That's why they played hardball with O'Keefe, traded for Shaw, and will get Seaby a ready made ruckman

And because of the retirements, and Hall being tipped out (+ AFL help) they will have room in the salary cap
They might get 3 years out of Fevola

No not at all. Lets face it inaccuracy cost us a grand final. Our best forward was triple teamed. Our boys are a great unit, I think Fev would just top it off nicely. BTW I wouldnt give Kosi for Fev either, but I just think we may find that Fev would be very very very happy to end up at the saints, and would feel very at home.

Good question.

Why didn't we take Cousins?

There are similar reasons not to take Fevola. And I will leave it at that.

On some of the few occassions that he has appeared sober Fev has talked about being able to do what he loves doing and how amazing it is to get paid to do it.

His only chance to come to St Kilda is to love doing it and forget about being paid to do it.
Unfortunately I doubt he could adapt his game sufficiently to meet the St Kilda trademark.

FFS we were some straight kicking away from winning a grand final so why would we want to trade for a 29 year old disruptive alchoholic who cant keep his sex toy at home?

Why would we want to alter our structure totally and spend money and players when the chance of failure is just as good as the chance of success.

Stay miles away IMHO

Okay assuming we get Fev what would we do with Kosi?
I don't think we should get rid of him because
1. He probably won't agree to be traded
2. It could create problems with the group as Kosi is part of that 2000/01/02 group that came to the club at the same time.
I dont think we could manage all 3 in the forward line. Kosi as a ruckmen???
Roo as a wingmen like richo???

What's Kosi got to do with anything ?

Carlton will struggle to find a Club able to take his contracted $700k salary.

I reckon when the end of trade week arrives, tehy will just announce that no trade was able to be made and he will remain a Carlton player.
I agree especially since he nominated us and the hawks, pretty much the only 2 vic teams with 2 good tall forwards.
Sounds like a Carlton scheme.

I hope in a cruel twist of magical trade shenanigans, Fev winds up at Freo, Carlton get a dud draft pick, and we end up with Pavlich.
