I'd be very suprised if we got him. He'd have to accept a massive paycut.saint75 wrote:http://www.carltonfc.com.au/newsarticle ... fault.aspx

And what are we going to compensate them with... our first rounder + what??? I rather use our 1st rounder on someone fast.

So he - on 700k a year - wants to go to clubs with limited trading ability and established top line forward sructures.BelfastSaint wrote:Carlton has officially stated that they will be seeking a trade for Fevola who has nominated the Saints and Hawks as his preferred club.
FFS.
I don't doubt the rumour, but she's a little bit limited in pragmatics...
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Interesting.......
Don't get too excited yet! Not many are going to be willing to take on his rather large contract and Carlton won't take a hit financially.
The only way he was ever going to go was if sponsors put enough pressure on the club to get rid of him. The board and the coaching staff where never going sack him unless forced to.
Will be an interesting week next week. Get him if the price is right as Lenny and Roo will slap him around the ears if he gets out of line.

We'd be stupid not to pick him up if he's a willing tradee.
He strayed for an hour (that's all - BIG DEAL !) at the end of the season in which he kicked close to 100 goals - it's an easy decision to make.
We need goal kickers to improve our efficiency in the forward line and convert our forward 50 dominance, which is often wasted as we saw in the grand final.

If you can rehabilitate Michael Gardiner you could rehab Fev! And I'd say Carlton would end up having to pay half his salary anyways.
