He will have to take a pay cut. But it doesn't mean it won't happen. Players have taken a pay-cut before. Plus Max retiring frees up some cash. As does the delistings we will have to make
Max is on the veteran list, he won't free up much cash under the salary cap by retiring.
We need a quality mid sized forward, not bloody fevola.

Agree ,they havent been able to reign him in on how many occasions now. They may have ruined a great player by having no backbone.Wonder what harves thinks about it?
Remember another player who had lots of problems at his last club and then straightened up at his new club.
His name is Michael Gardiner.
Two other players had trouble but we have had no misconduct from them in recent times.
Their names are Stephen Milne and Leigh Montagna.
We know Fev's whole family love the Saints. We all know that when a player is given a second chance, they often grow up and grab that with both hands because they know this is their last chance.
Maybe, just maybe, Fev is worth considering.
I would keep an open mind at this point. Never say never.
My understanding from someone who was as close to the action as you could get whilst Fev unravelled at the Brownlow, that his antics had to be seen to be believed. What they showed on TFS was very much the tip of the iceberg.
What was worse though, is that my source claims that the Carlton media manager (whoever he is) just sat there and laughed as it all unfolded. Apparently NOTHING was done to reign Fev in during the night until finally Judd thought enough was enough. By then it was too late though. Fev managed to offend virtually every person who attended - which is a pretty good efffort considering 1500 ppl were in attendance.
Carlton Culture= Thinking they have a God given right to contest Premierships and win Flags.
St Kilda Culture= KNOWING how tough it is to get to a Premiership and how hard a TEAM has to work.
Fevola= We could change him. He's a Saint at heart. He grew up with pics of Banger on his wall... If we could reign Gardiner in; imagine what we could do with someone who actually loves our club?
He need to prove it by taking a pay cut; but also give him the potential to succeed with an incentive based contract.
Fev to FF
Kosi to CHB where he won a Rising Star.

A move to Sydney would dramatically improve the average IQ of both Melbourne and Sydney.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

I agree that it would be bad for their forward line to let him go but they could put Waite at CHF and Krezuer at FF. I don't think they'll get rid of him though. They don't have the guts to get rid of their most important player.
Let's go through some steps that should be in place.
Carlton have to let him go
$700,000 contract for each year over two years
Other clubs would not be able to afford him unless Carlton agreed to pay at least $200,000 a year.
Sydney would be about the ones who could afford him
Then where does this leave Carlton, nowhere really.
Chris Judd would be wishing he had of gone somewhere else, he seems to land himself into troubled clubs.
I would be totally amazed if he was let go.
i would be very surprised if carlton traded fev, he is to important to their structure. the blues wouldnt make the finals next year if they do trade him in my opinion. I wouldnt want fev either, if things dont go his way he sooks and doesnt try, we have no room for senior players with this attitude would be a step back in my opinion for the club.
