We were the best. Finished top. Beat everyone who counted.
We were the best. Did everything right. Amazing tackling, ferocity, intensity, passion, great fitness management, minimal injuries, discipline, tactics.
Missed a few shots in the grand final and lost. Schneider missed easy shots, Mcqualter missed. Game over.
How do you have motivation for the next pre-season?
God that is crushing.

It is gut-wrenching, but good will come of it as we will get even better -the finals show up all a team's weaknesses and strengths. This is where leaders in a club have to unite to do their part over summer and get the club aligned for one purpose - From now on, a big banner should be displayed at training both indoors and outside, in club offices and functions -it should read in big bold red white and black : A PREMIERSHIP IN 2010.
We are the best defence team in the comp, and ranked #4 as far as scoring goes this year.
We should at least aim to be #1 at both.
Any team that tries to emulate our defensive pressure over the summer, will be playing like our 09 model.
Meanwhile Ross will ensure that we have evolved even further, it's exciting really.

We have improved in each year of RL's tenure. 9th, 4th, 1st.
We have the best coach and the best captain.
No reason why we can't improve again.
We have the cattle to cover the bases.
It's up to the players to want it as much as we do.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Will definitely be a massive challenge, that's for sure but I reckon we've got the game plan, the coach and the captain (and leadership group) to take us all the way. The players just need to be prepared to work as hard - if not harder - than they did this year, otherwise as Ross said they can move right along!
