my opinion
Great teams like the Lions in the early 2000's and now Geelong dont have players that panic under preasure , we do so untill we fix that we wont win a grand final, yes we had a good back line this year but it wasnt the best , why opposition side found it hard to score against us was because our mid fielders pushed down back to make it hard for the opposition to score .
raph doesnt have the skill to play on the half back line and he also looks like he doesnt play with any intensity
TRADE OR DELIST
raph , dempster , sorry but eddy also because athletes dont win grand finals skill does thought

Gilbert, Fisher and Dawson all made pressure mistakes out of defence yesterday...
Trade or delist them while you're at it.
And while you're at it, seeing as Ablett was caught holding the ball three timesm maybe have a word to Geelong about letting him go, and Johnson didn't touch in the foirst half. They'd better trade him while theyre at it.
Riewoldt didn't kick five in a GF. See if we can get a few picks for him.
And Hayes went to sleep after Q1. Might delist him, I reckon.
Excuse the sarcasm, mate. But really and truly, I understand the disappointment an all but the squad you want to ruin got us 25-3 for the year... Ease up with guillotine already...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Re: my opinion
Raph does have the skill, what he lacks is composure and decision making. I think it's time to give other players ago ahead of him.gosainters66 wrote:Great teams like the Lions in the early 2000's and now Geelong dont have players that panic under preasure , we do so untill we fix that we wont win a grand final, yes we had a good back line this year but it wasnt the best , why opposition side found it hard to score against us was because our mid fielders pushed down back to make it hard for the opposition to score .

Idiot?
Ease up, tiger.
Just making the point there's a lot of trading and delisting going on this morning...
Collectively keep it up and we'll have no one left.

And if whoever it was had shepherded like they should have at the start when Rooke pinged him...Well...Maybe we wouldn't be discussing Raph much at all...borderbarry wrote:SaintWodonga you told me Raph was our worst player in the GF. He did much better than any of the five players we had in the team we traded for in recent years. All five featured in the 7 with least disposals. Raph did'nt. Raph had 13 touches, which was'nt great, but not among our worst.
Look, he does make me sit on the edge of my seat, but surely an athlete of his dimensions is worth perservering with now that we've got 50 games into him. He's still got puppy fat in my view.

No I told you the Herald Sun player rating had him worst on ground for Saints.borderbarry wrote:SaintWodonga you told me Raph was our worst player in the GF. We don't need depth players - we need to bat to 22.
Raph is okay, he provides more positives than negatives and he's not making up the numbers.
dempster is just a depth player and bats at 25.
All the top 22 should be walk up starts in every other team if you aspire to be a premiership winning team.
Geelong can say that with their list.
