after the heart break of yesterday most of us are searching for reasons how this could happen after being the better team for the first 3 quarters. i personally place the blame on the shoulders of nick riewoldt..
i know this may rub some people up the wrong way but lets look at the facts. when we needed rooey to stand up against the dogs he did and he won us the game mostly single handedly. (hayes was awesome as well).
however yesterday harry taylor and tom harley humiliated our captain. nick had absolutely no impact on the result what so ever this begs the question.. no rooey, no stkilda? what is everyones thoughts?
Don't under estimate how well he played yesterday.....For the majority of the marking contests he had 3 on him. But EVERY time he managed to bring the ball to ground, FANTASTIC EFFORT.
Just coz he wasn't getting much of the ball, doesn't mean he wasn't helping the team

It is a team game and Riewoldt was not the only player who had a dog of a day. I dont think Roo was total ineffective, he led and created a contest all day.
You have lost your marbles if you think the blame lays solely on Roo
I'm thinking that no one bit on your other post and that you are a very sad person that can only get their jollies by coming on the opposition forum and posting rubbish.
What a brave person you are, why dont you repeat your thoughts to nick himself.
Now you have had your fun find some friends and go and celebrate. Do you have any
Roo can't do it by himself. We need a plan B for when he is double, triple, even quadruple teamed. He is just one player on the field. How many is he supposed to be able to take on at once?

Harry Taylor had it easy and could not keep up with him all game and mackie took over when he need a break, he was double teamed on most marking contests.
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

I spoke to Nick at the fun day, he was only too happy to talk to me. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Very humble and shy in real life, how about you start treating our captain with a bit of respect or get the hell out of here.
