2010 Memberships
Are they on sale yet

When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

You are not going to lose your job to AI.
You are going lose your job to somebody who uses AI.
Your company is not going to go out of business because of AI.
Your company is going to go out of business because another company used AI.

It's been 18 hours since 2009 finished.SaintDebi wrote:I'll be renewing (and upgrading to social club waiting list if I can find the money) the second they are!
How long are they going to keep me waiting.
When is the club going to pull its' finger out!
My money is already in my bank but if the club doesn't get their act together it might get spent.

Yes that is what was said this year.Gabba wrote:Thanks Eastern. That is a relief!Eastern wrote:YES, those on the waiting list will be added as "non-renewals" drop off !!Gabba wrote:Do people who were SC this year get preference as to renewing it before it reaches it cap? Cheers.
But then again it was also said a few years back that Foundation Members would have priority over SC Members who joined in later years and obviously that was reneged upon.

I should hope so. I'm not a social club member......yet.Gabba wrote:Do people who were SC this year get preference as to renewing it before it reaches it cap? Cheers.
I hope I can afford to be and wll patiently wait my turn on the waiting list. Of course those of you already committed to SC should be given preference.
Change of board and Prez since then...unlikely to happen before the start of next seasonsaintsRrising wrote:Yes that is what was said this year.Gabba wrote:Thanks Eastern. Just a question on that...we saw those brochures today..I thought the idea was that your membership was rolled over identically if you DIDNT contact the Club..yet they were handing out "rollover" permission forms?saintbrat wrote:forms available today were for roll over renewal- at same level/ options as last year

Memberships only rollover automatically at the same level if you are paying by direct debit. You get a renewal form, then 28 days to contact the club, and if they don't hear from you , its deemed you have rolled over.
If you are not on the direct debit rollover plan , you get a renewal in about oct/nov and you have to contact the club to sign up again - either by phone, internet or sending the form back.
My 14 year old and I are on the rollover direct debit plan with social club, but my baby (who's only just turned two) is a baby member - Angel I think they call it - so I pay his outright each year, but the other two roll over. I assume the club will have some cut off date for renewals when they send them out for people to keep their social club. This has always been the case with reserve seating - a date in Dec I think, that if you don't renew by that date, you lose your place so to speak. I assume social club will be the same. I was planning on upgrading my two year old to social club next year as while I don't take him all the time, and don't need to pay for him to have a seat, he is easier to cope with if he has his own seat. Looks like I will have to put him on the waiting list and see how we go.

I am aware of that.saint66au wrote:

My point however is that commitments cannot be relied upon to be honored and particularly as it was the current President and Board who reneged.
The pity of it all is that they could have maintained the commitment and still made exactly the same amount of extra cash
In several years time just watch the exodus of SC Members.
