Hawkins goal that smashed into the post, Abletts free for F all and the non free to Sneider in the last when the ump put his whistle to his mouth and didnt pay it cost us.. End of story! Yes we missed some easy shots but Geelong were gifted those three repreives absolute joke and if all the AFL do gooders defend it I will spew up.

Spot on.
Whilst it was our kicking for goal that cost us the game, those three decisions were appalling. How do you see an incident right in front of you, put your whistle to your mouth when the infringement is complete and then not blow it? What has changed to cause you to stop? Incredible.
The Ablett one was beyond comprehension.
Again, not blaming our loss on the umpiring but those three decisions were very costly in the end.

Please...let's win a Premiership before GEELONG!!!! (O.k., so we've missed that opportunity...maybe let's win the next one before Geelong????)

Schneider has to be more clever when it comes to milking a free because the umps are onto him and simply won't pay them. Happened numerous times at critical moments this year. If they're there, they're there and should pay them if they see them but flinging arms and crying out and collapsing in complete anguish will only ever work for Gary Ablett and Collingwood, and the likes of Schneider have to tone it down then maybe the umps will cross him off their 'plays for a free' list.
In this instance the free was most definitely there, luck was not.

Graceful, elusive, strong overhead and no Easybeat!

You can add to it Dempster's arms getting chopped on the wing, resulting in that turd Mooney marking in the goal square. Then add the non reversal after Mooney punches Gilbo in the jaw.
People can say the umps put their whistles away, I see it ss 3 small men afraid to make the right decisions when the opportunities present themselves. They get given the gig on being the best in making position to make the right decisions more than the others and then when they get there, take the soft option.
Could make sense from this if they didn't give Ablett that free but that is the rod they made for their own back, very ordinary IMO.
