My only complaint
Ablett, clearly pinged for holding the ball twice and not paid, plus soft free kick in front of goal.
Ling knocking Joey down after free kick awarded, no 50 paid.
The poster goal was equalised by the free kick goal after Milburn argued at the end of the second quarter.
Apart from these, no problems with umpires.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

How is a totally incompetent call by a goal umpire "equalised" by a free given after a warning for arguing with an umpire at the other end ?????

Yeah, I reckon this will come under some pretty close scrutiny by the AFL. I mean if that happened in the final quarter, it would have looked REALLY bad on them. Their greatest fear would be for something like this to happen again in a grand final.

Not really the goal umpires fault. He was not and could not have been in the position to see te ball hit the post.Sainternist wrote:p.s. that goal umpire will never be umpiring an afl match again. you F*** up in a grand final, you are gawn!
p.p.s. and GOOD RIDDANCE to that little creep!
BUT there were three field umpires who should have seen the ball hit the post and advised the goal umpire accordingly.

Yes, it is outrageous the way Ablett gets to play to a different set of rules, but it did not cost the game.
Inaccurate kicking was the only reason this game was lost - kick straight from the set shots and shots in the clear and the result is reversed.
Last year Geelong could not buy a goal.
This year we could not buy a goal.
AND Ablett must have bought plenty with the umpires.

My Mates nicknamed Judd 360 as that is how long they give him to get rid of the ball. Ablett is now 720, I have never seem a player get looked after like he does when he has the ball. Great player no doubt but he will win the next 5 brownlows if those yellow maggots umpire his games.
P.S. How is it the umpire was the only one who missed Schnieder's jumper being pulled in the last qtr when we were 1 point up 30 out. He gets that and kicks a goal who knows.
But we had already done the damage inthe 2nd qtr
