WINMAR - what a mark!
Anyone see chanel 9 news before?
Despite his current financial hardship, Nicky is still going to be flying across the Nullabor to Melbourne and will witness his old club play in the Grand Final.
He says it will be a very emotional experience for him. Hopefully a joyful experience as well.
It's also his birthday on Friday.
Great to have you back on board, Cuz!

I have never forgotten watching Nicky after the 97 grandfinal, he was shattered for so many more reasons than just a grand final loss. He was on his own in the middle of the ground all alone and I think it was our President at the time (Pymton?) rushed straight over to him after the siren to console him. What a time that must of been for him.
Our club and the indigenous community owe him a great deal.

I urge everyone to watch!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

That was amazing. I lived next door to the wiz for a few years and he is the nicest bloke you would ever want to meet.
He new we were made saints and he always stopped to have a chat with my old man. I can't believe he is a grand father. I remember seeing his daughter with him and she as just a little girl.
Makes me feel pretty old.
Go saints.

The awful hurt...
Geez.
Geez.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

The week before the grand final in 97 will stay with me for some time. I grew up in the same town as Nicky and like he said it's a very small town. I remember there were helicopters landing on the oval across from us and there were heaps of reporters in town. My parents still see him around town now and then.
If we win I hope it will give him some peace in his life because he deserves it.
