We come OR watch/listen from far and wide
we all have one thing in common
the mighty sainters
on saturday each person will be watching or listening to the best of their ability...no matter if its front row, listening on the radio in the far north or watching it on cable from halfway around the globe...we will be occupied for the afternoon in some way shape or form
ive read posts that say people are coming over from the states!
driving down from the gold coast!
seriously big efforts
so to those that are far and wide...how will you be watching or listening, and supporting the saints this saturday?
will u be driving from afar?
be overseas...in a bar?
or sittin out bush with the radio on in the car???
carn the sainters!!!!!!!!

Coming down from LA Wednesday night
I will be flying from LA Wednesday night on V Australia to make it in time for the GF Parade on Friday, then taking my place at the G on Saturday. Fly back here to LA on Monday afternoon.
Best $782 dollars I spent.
Booked my flight early July, knowing I could change the date, but praying I wouldn't have to.
So here we are Monday morning at work in LA, counting down the minutes will I depart.
GO SAINTS!!

I'll be sitting at my German mate's computer hoping to find a live stream...
Now that Setanta has gone bust, ESPN seems the only option in Europe - I've tried a few Irish pubs here in Hamburg, but to no avail...
On the positive side, I've got my mate interested in the past few weeks and hopefully there'll be a new Saints supporter in Hamburg come Saturday 10am German time!
Edit: Eurosport2 will be showing it live at 6:30am

Can't make it to this one.
Be getting up at 4:30am and heading into a bar in the middle of Paris which will show it live. Doors open at 6am and game starts at 6:30am.
If anyone wants to buy me a beer, I'll be the one at the front in the Saints Hot Cross Bun jumper with Goddards 18 on the back

matrix you need to put this to the Qantas ad-
coming home just as the new ad says- been all over and now returning to the land of our heart >>>>>>>
I hope your all coming to Etihad on Sunday
would be interesting to get the crowd into groups of how far they had come........ or how long they were staying..

Well I am wimping it by staying here in rural France on our 'trip of a lifetime'. The missus offered me the chance to fly back but I'm happy to have our kids go in our place. One of them will be flying in from Perth this evening.
Thanks to a certain poster on here who hails from Zurich I should be able to watch the match live. Looking forward to seeing us belt the handbaggers!

Congrats to all coming from so far! I am only flying down from Sydney.
I've been to the GF in '66, '71 and '97 and even though a ticket is costing me$950 (ouch! - thanks to Swans office in Sydney - it's still a cheaper "package" than many other clubs offer) I still don't want to miss it for anything.
I do hope we win, but no matter what happens the team has put in an amazing performance in 2009 and we should always remember that! I'm grateful I got see so many of these matches (only two live & the others on TV) and I'll buy whatever DVD season review offer they come up with.
Fingers crossed and let's all hope for the best possible outcome!

Last year I found an Aussie bar ,, all i remember is walking up a hill in Paris and finding this little Aussie bar with an Aussie barmaid from Newcastle. Place was owned by a German fella though ,, I thought it was very bizarre.Splayd wrote:Can't make it to this one.

So proud of all of you, as I said my brother Rickabee, coming down from Sydney, an old Animal Enclosure friend flew in from Chicago las t Friday for Prelim and GF.
My other brother will be watching it in LA, my niece, who came out last Christmas will be watching too.
My brother bought her a Saints top and I've told her too wear with pride around LA this week.
Only Saints fans can do this, because we are so loyal, devoted and love the club, believe if we win this it will be the biggest outpouring of emotion the AFL will ever see.

For any Saints fans in LA, get down to "On the Rocks" in Redondo Beach.
The Southern California AFL are holding a fund raising night there to watch the GF and raise funds for the OC Bombers tilt at the National Championships coming up.
They're going to have beer specials, plus a raffle with great prizes - sports memorabilia, Dodgers tickets, concert tickets, and more!
$10 cover gets you in and also earns you 3 raffle tickets. Party with some Aussies, do a bit of drinking, and be a part of a great event.
Game starts around 9:30 me thinks (LA time)
Evening starts from 8:00 pm.
GO SAINTS!!
