I feel slightly humbled by this thread, for I was fortunate enough to get a seat.
Mind you, I camped out for a ticket in 97 and missed out. I think I would have probably given my left nut just for a standing room ticket then.
I sincerely hope the peeps in standing room don't feel cheated on the day.

Ah yes... the spirit of 1980. I remember as a kid, you could also get the longer cans.karnaby wrote: Shame that you probably wont be able to go round the back of a catering area and borrow a milk crate tho. In the old days it was very easy with steel cans - guzzle a 6 pack and stand on the empties

Saint66au - I thought you were an MCC member?Sam23 wrote:devastated for you saint66au, really a shame that one of our most loyal supporters gets stuck in the standing room.
I am an MCC member, but my family and mates are not full members.
So I am opting to stand with them rather than endure a long lonely stressful afternoon surrounded by strangers in the MCC.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Yeah I would say they aren't bad for standing room.plugger66 wrote:That is a good area to stand but i hope there is few of you so you can save spots for each other. Also being in the AFL members gives you a slight chance to get a few vacant seats as some may not turn up especially if it rains as they may not be a supporter of either club.joffaboy wrote:M19 in the AFL members areaLeo.J wrote:Have you been alocated a bay saint66au?
There are 8 of us and I think we will plan to get there at about 9.00 so we can get the prime positions.
Then we can wonder off as we please with people there.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

I am Enrico..but like you Id rather stand with the comrades ive shared the season with..rather than abandon them for a lonely single seat (and 3 hours of queueing) in the MCCEnrico_Misso wrote:Saint66au - I thought you were an MCC member?Sam23 wrote:devastated for you saint66au, really a shame that one of our most loyal supporters gets stuck in the standing room.
