Has anyone ever done standing room at the GF before?

I feel slightly humbled by this thread, for I was fortunate enough to get a seat.

Mind you, I camped out for a ticket in 97 and missed out. I think I would have probably given my left nut just for a standing room ticket then.

I sincerely hope the peeps in standing room don't feel cheated on the day.

Saint66au - I thought you were an MCC member?

I am an MCC member, but my family and mates are not full members.
So I am opting to stand with them rather than endure a long lonely stressful afternoon surrounded by strangers in the MCC.

Yeah I would say they aren't bad for standing room.

There are 8 of us and I think we will plan to get there at about 9.00 so we can get the prime positions.

Then we can wonder off as we please with people there.

I am Enrico..but like you Id rather stand with the comrades ive shared the season with..rather than abandon them for a lonely single seat (and 3 hours of queueing) in the MCC

Strength thru Loyalty and all that

Oh and Solar we are in M19...in the AFL Members, who obviouly have no need for their standing room areas

Ive ppuit a post on the Hawks oard on bigfooty..see if any of them did it last year and can offer advice

shame, would be nice if there were others on here in the same bay, anyone have any idea how many tickets per bay?

What happens if you stand somewhere other than what your tickets say?

Last 2 games I have gone in through the AFL Members gone out, got a pass out and then come back in through gate 1 at the city end to standing room behind the cheersquad and the multitudes of Saints as well as all the Sainters around me ...Its been going off so if youre keen ...Get There !
