No way, although milne has not performed he's best in this finals series, i still think he's that x factor that could bob up and kick a few goals. Also if the weathers abit wet which they are predicting then he could be a handy crum since the forwards might struggle to take a clean grab.

kicked a pretty important one on friday night and had some useful touches flooding up the ground. i reckon he's playing his role ok, though not perfect, and definitely keeps his spot. schneider ahead of him in the queue for dropping - but neither will go.gosainters66 wrote:could milne get dropped because of his poor history in finals

Milne won't lose his spot off the back of a couple of quiet games. Ross has said he and Schneider need to lift... that's about as far as it will go.
Eddy is probably the only player on the fringe... may go out for Dempster or Gwilt... but my guess is... no change.

Does anyone remember how Stephen Milne first came to the attention of the Saints?
He killed us in the 1999 Reserves Grand Final, playing for Essendon.
I think he's due for a repeat performance, this time against the Cats!

Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons; for you are a quick and tasty morsel.

Mr Magic when have i said Milne should be dropped the only player i think will be dropped is Eddy and i would bring in Dempster. Milne done great work last week up the ground to help out in defence

Milne v Armitage??spert wrote:On form in finals- yes..he is primarily in the team a goal sneak, and too many tiimes the ball has hit the deck and he has been in the wrong position to crumb the loose ball. I bet Armo in the pocket would hit the pack a bit harder and probably slot a few.
One is arguably the best goal sneak in the AFL, unquestionably ours.
One is probably ranked 25-30 on our list.
One hasn't played for a month and really hasn't knocked down the door.
One is our 3rd leading goal scorer.
I know which one I'd plump for, too be fair I can't believe they are even being compared.
