Eddy must have photos of Lyon in compromising position

Post: # 826268Post ultima650 »

This bloke struggles at VFL level One kick for the game not strong overhead not a quick thinker struggles under pressure. Doesn't kick that well handball isnt any thing special just doesnt get the pill.

If Armitage , Geary wouldnt be more value I'll go to the pictures knowing how Lyon thinks I think it will be Eddy out Dempster in better but Geary or Armitage would be ideal.

Go Saints

Who would you back to have an impact if they come in because all those you mentioned have been totally anonymous the last few they've played.

Armo had 18 touches and 13 tackles last time out. I don't think he was anonymous. Geary's last game wasn't bad either.

Armo in for me. Geary 2nd choice, knowing RL I think he would bring in Dempster or Gwilt.

Always a hard call with Eddy playing his part all year but after this week I would expect either Armo or Dempster in or Steven as a long shot.

if Eddy is going out - i would go tall and have Gwilt or Dempster as the third tall. Make that see you next tuesday Harley accountable.

Yep, if anyone has to come in it will Dempster for experience.

Only changes recently have been forced changes.

No point replacing an unproven player in Eddy with another unproven player in Armo or Steven. Maybe Geary, but Dempst's experience would count for a fair bit IMO.

Steven or Geary

Geary has been awesome for Sandy in the last part of the season. Steven would add the mystery element and is a classy finisher too compliment Milne and Schneider.

Geary has one big problem and that has been disposal at AFL level although at Sandy has been excellent and kicking multiple goals.

Problem with Eddy is that Kosi ignored him, so it may be a trust issue. Maybe there's more respect for Dempster?

Gwilt is in the same boat... to often ignored, but gee he has got a body to throw around.

Am thinking the weather may have an impact on who may play. Forecast is for rain, wind and possible storms!

In this case I'd back in either Armo or Geary or keeping Eddy over Gwilt or Dempster.

Be clearer closer to game day.

Cant see why anyone can think Armo will get in.....Hasnt been selected all year.

I think it is only out of Dempster and to a lesser extent Geary.....

I think you are right, Geary and Eddy have swapped spots during the season and Dempster is also a favourite.

I still think no change is still the most likely option, but who knows??

Surely Dempster will get a game ahead of anyone else for Eddy!

Dempster: He is a premiership player and has a wealth of finals experience (8 finals, including two GFs).

He offers us some versatility - can tag or key down back to free up S Fisher up forward if needed (he is 192cm tall).

I would be alot more comfortable with Dempster than Eddy if it came to the two.

How is Armo unproven he was our best player against the hawks and had 13 tackles against North

If they pick Dempster it will be to play on Stevie J. He is the perfect size and has the engine to go with him and the pace.

I would love Geary to get a game but by memory he had a shocker against the Cats at the dome and was dropped the following week.

Not exactly top 3 teams. And didn't cement his place. So why would you try him in a GF, of all games.

If he was to play, you'd think it would have been againes the filth.

Finals are a different kettle of fish... as many players found out last week.

I think Eddy is one of the worst palyers in the AFL. What do I know about coaching an AFL team and getting them into a grand Final. NOTHING. LYON has got us there so he knows/sees something I don't. Still doesn't change my thoughts about his game but he may just possibly get a game this weekend in the biggest game of the year. In Lyon we trust.

Dempster in, Eddy out - I agree about the need to go a bit taller against the Cats.

x 2. Dempster can play roles in defense, run-with or up forward as lead-up if needed.

Think this change will happen.

To be fair, Lyon usually gives someone a couple of weeks opportunity to make position their own before he makes a change. He has done so all year, and I think this will be the case again this week and I predict a change.

Personally, Gwilt in for mine.

PS - I am not sure this thread title is great form personally
