i am not a hater. but 4 possessions all handballs 1 critical error and 1 free against. i know they are different players, different positions and different roles but surely he makes room for max..?

Agree that Eddy's spot in danger. But not from Max. Geary/Gwilt/Armo the only possibles.

Would be the ONLY spot up for grabs. If Rob Eddy goes, do we bring in Max? Armo? Gears? Jimmy? or Jack? !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

I disagree. As I've said in another post, I think if we play Geelong Max may come in, but if we play the Pies it'll be Gwilt/Geary/Armitage/Dempster

Dempster...

Eddy has been playing mainly a defensive role...running

That is what Dempster does.

Would love to see Max but if there is going to be any change for Eddy it'd be Dempster or Geary. Eddy's role is run and defense. Having said that Jimmy could be a good hard physical presence in the heat of the big day.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Jack Steven. That would be a huge call. But possible.

I would have thought that Geary would be the obvious one....

Kinda been trading spots with Eddy all year.

He wasn't given much of a chance - made good position a number of times last night only to be ignored by his teammates. I am starting to think that there is some sort of team directive against giving the ball to Eddy.

The more I think about it the more I think Dempster is going to get a gig. That is as long as Geelong make it. If so I reckon Dempster may come in for a negating gig against a Stevie J or Chapman,so on.

Eddy shouldn't be in there

Eddy's spot is under threat.
But only from Dempster, Armitage, Geary, Gwilt or Steven.

Not from Hudghton, Maguire, X Clarke, McEvoy, Begley or Robert Harvey.

Not from anyone who hasn't played all season.

Hudghton only comes under consideration if S Fisher, Gilbert or Dawson can't play.
McEvoy only comes under consideration if Gardiner, King, Riewoldt or Koschitzke can't play.

Grand Finals have to won, winning is not awarded as a charity because you have a sentimental case for your club or any player.

However NOTE that Lyon does not select based on only one performance...but overa number...

Geary / Dempster obvious one. Dempster was poor the weeks before so not to me an automatic

Dempster will come in for Eddy. I'll put whatever you want on it.

Why? Played in a premiship under Lyon for the Swans and did a good shut down run with job in that game. It's a no brainer.

Apologies, forgot about Dempster. Probably right that he is most likely.

Can play a defence tagging role and also snag a grab or two.

Dempster surely!!!

He has been there on the big day, has a bigger body, atheltic, he can run pressure, chase, tackle.

Agree. Jarryn played 15 games (all wins) and has more skill but is not as quick. I would have favoured him but it is too late now. Unless there is an injury, the team we have, the one that was set 4 weeks ago, will be the one to play GF day.

I concur, its got to be Dempster, in fact I reckon Dempster would have been very handy last night, shown some composure as opposed to Gilbert/Gram.
