Last year they did it, this year they're doing it again....

No live AFL games this week..

I thought it was channel 10 last year, our games were on at 7.30 and they showed Matilda last year and now we wont be live again.

As Pay TV doesnt have the finals rights, channel 7 and channel 10 are showing the remaining Finals games (except grand final) on hour delays. Do they really want a team in the GOLD COAST? Make it prime time, get more fans..

This is a disgrace, you have turn your phone off, cant go to pub as you never know what idiot will tell you the score....

I complained heaps last year, but does anyone else want to ring and complain?

i looked on the afl site to see what time the game started over here
(obviously its live)

clicked on and saw 8.30 i think
anyhoo, i thought WTF???

then i realised it was under the title 'Melbourne'

6.30 start here

The TV programmers arent as naive as the AFL....but have just as much at stake. The majority of NSW/QLD folk hate AFL

No TV Network is going to give the opposition a free kick (and thats what it is) by shwoing AFL in the Northern States in Primetime...unless they are contractually bound to do so

Ditto NRL in Melbourne...sorry but its ratings suicide

It would appear that it is live everywhere in Queensland (incl the GC) except Brisbane where it is 90 minutes delayed. Did Brisbane get the Moon landing on delay too?

thats what i mean, the rest of the games this finals series (mainly meaning next Friday) i can live with tonights game... it means nothing to me, but i want to at least watch the saints live

over here we got tonights game live, friday nights game delayed cos its on channel 7. So therefore i have to listen to the radio or watch it delayed and not answer my phone or get on any communication device next friday. or sit on saintsational

More likely they recieved the Moon landing broadcast on a one hundred year delay, as sometimes I've wondered when the Queenslanders are going to catch up with the rest of the country.

Friday night game was live and Saturday night delayed on the GC. Fair dinkum Qld is so bloody backwards its not funny. The sun has fried everyones brain
