So how have we proven to be better than them just because we on more games, and beat them all, yet we were just fortunate to because they were not at full strength when we played them?rodgerfox wrote:For a start I never we were fortunate to beat them. so how do you reconcile your statements that we've proven we're better than them, yet you contradict yourself by saying we were fortunate to beat them?
Please explain and I'll happily apologise. Until then, stop lying about what you did or didn't say.
Secondly, we've proven to be better than them because we finished above them on the ladder and beat them all.
Surely, for the love of god, that is as clear as day.
Surely, one would argue that although we beat them, we have only done so when they had injuries, and therefore no real conclusions can be drawn from the home and away results.
Furthermore, if winning more games proves that we're better than them, then you'll agree you were wrong in your view that we made top 4 by accident last year, given that we won more games than the teams below us.
Finally, please clarify how stating that we've been fortunate, then listing the injuries of other top 8 teams, and then restating that we've been fortunate, cannot be concluded in any other way?
You say we were fortunate, you then list other teams injuries to add weight to your opinion, then restate we were fortunate.
Now, to simpletons like me, that can only be taken that we were fortunate to beat teams because they were undermanned.
For the love of God, can I be any clearer than that?
Either you are a complete moron, a liar, or a very clever user of well thought out words.
How's those poor decisions going? Made a list yet?
PS: please desist from making sexual advances towards me by constantly asking me to f###k you. I don't think it's appropriate behaviour on a footy forum.
It might work at the public toilets, but surely this isn't the place for it. Thx.

RE: Roger Fox
Sometimes I wonder why do the lot of you even bother replying to Roger...
Some observations from a bystander:
1. Roger is still bitter about GT's sacking.. For the record, GT did some good things for the club.. (onfield success 04-07, fast tracked Riewoldt/Lenny to become real leaders) but he undid all of those things by refusing to evolve, work in a team.. and then had the gore of suing the club for unpaid leave? does he really bleed for the club? hmmm....
2. Roger don't like admit he's wrong.. irrespective of the facts... let's face it.. some people are just not very good at it. I assume Roger is not a young snipper either.. so, here's hoping he will change.. not...
3. Roger enjoys inciting people on this forum.. how many ten and thousands of posts has he made already? actually i enjoy reading the often long winded banter as well it sure makes reading the forum very interesting... it's hard to not get sucked in sometimes i have to admit..
4. Some controversial issues Roger has touched on.
A. It was wrong to sack GT at the time we did.
hmmm.. without knowing the full facts.. it can be quite difficult to make a call.. but i believe reports of GT unwilling to give off control and is technically poor is true.. how many times did GT blame the players after a loss...
B. The recruiting/player development during GT years was poor..
I think it's a combination of Beveridge/GT... apart from 2002, 2001 where we landed majority of our current crop of stars.. the GT years had been poor.. Ross Lyon's record is for all to see.. And GT wants to sack Milne.. ??
C. Holes in RL's game plan will show when we get some injuries.. we playing well because our star player are doing well... seriously no $hit sherlock... i think you'll find our fringe players are doing well as well.. Mini, Jones, Blake, Dawson etc.
D. A coach is not important to team success..
One of the dumbest things i've heard on this forum. I don't think you are dim, Roger.. but that's a pretty dumb statement.. do you think Man united will be the team they are without Fergerson? In every professional sport.. the coaches are as important as your on field personel, if not more.. case in point.. our win against the Hawks this year.

I like D: A coach is not important to team success...
Then we learn that if we fail this year, it's the coach's fault.
And people wonder why.
And the irony is that I'd employ Rodger to work for me if I wanted to create publicity and buzz for my business. Believe it or not.
He has the same skill as the best shock jocks in the media.

Exactly how I see it too.......just letting everyone know he's around and waiting to let fly..........SO VERY SAD.markp wrote:Newsflash: Dodgy stool has no real interest in any particular stance he may choose to adopt, only in stroking his own ego and shyte stirring (it amuses him to the point of it being creepy).... if you get him by the tail on a particular argument he will just shed it like a lizard, slink off behind one of his embankments and grow another.
As rightly pointed out he is now merely positioning himself and putting in the shovel work in preparation for a St Kilda loss.... and oh how he relishes the prospect of plundering those fertile fields! He can almost taste it....
The only question is why does he bother?
Hopefully we go all the way and we don't hear from this individual again.
whilst being an amazingly interesting expression of an opinion , well constructed , descriptive and succulent in its delivery , imo , it stands not , against the 'evidence' presented in this thread or an untold amount of others ..... crap consistently circulated . is still crapNewsflash: Dodgy stool has no real interest in any particular stance he may choose to adopt, only in stroking his own ego and shyte stirring (it amuses him to the point of it being creepy).... if you get him by the tail on a particular argument he will just shed it like a lizard, slink off behind one of his embankments and grow another.
