GF packages
UPDATED
ok, we all dont like to get too far ahead but plenty of Q's have been asked about packages
so if peeps find some links to help out those who are stuck and cant get a ticket then we can post here
so far the club KNOWS that 10,100 SC members took the opp to reg for their GF ticket
as of yet when i rang them half hr ago they are not sure how many Sept Sainters registered for left over GF tickets (who did this between 4 and 11pm yesterday after SC members who did it between 8am and 3or4pm)
yesterday they siad that they know that there are AROUND 1,100 Sept Sainters, but as stated above are unsure on how many registered
the guy (who was very helpful and had no prob speaking to me twice in two days) said they should know deff numbers today
if you ring the 1300 number, then choose option 1, and then choose option 2...you will get thru to speak to them in membership dept.

yes
the essendon ones are on ebay
there is nothing wrong with you putting it on ebay for what you paid for it
steph
i would 100% be ringing Port today and getting that package if i was needing a ticket option to the GF....if worst come to worst (lets be logical) then you could easily 'pass it on'
i would say that getting rid of a PAIR would be easier than getting rid of a single (ie: couples wanting seats together), but honestly couldnt see a prob in 'passing' on a single....
the longer its left the less chances become

Good work Matrix. I don't want to put the moz on us by getting ahead of myself. I did that in 05 and learnt a lesson....
However if we were to be knocked out next week, are you able to sell these packages legally for cost price? Also they likely hood of being able to sell them on GF week? I don't want to be stuck with an $800 ticket to watch stinkscray

there is nothing illegal about selling the package at cost price if you cannot use it
"POLICE say they are powerless to stop scalpers at this year's AFL Grand Final."
Melbourne police division chief Supt Stephen Leane said new legislation introduced to curb scalpers did not enable officers to charge them, only to detain them.
And with their hands full maintaining order in and around the MCG, officers were unlikely to seek out scalpers, police sources said.
"The Grand Final is the only AFL game that falls under this ticketing scheme," Supt Leane said.
"As such, the Secretary to the Department of Planning and Community Development can charge unauthorised people for selling tickets.
"Police can investigate these incidents . . . (but) do not have the power to charge offenders."

also look at it this way
say the (shudder) worst happens.
and its two other teams
there is prob as many if not MORE people in this boat (imagine crows fans, how many memebrs?..s*** loads!)
the bigger the club membership that makes it the more people are going to want a ticket
i honestly couldnt see people having trouble passing on the package/ticket for what they paid for it...and there is nothing wrong or illegal in doing this
of course its a gamble...and much popcorn is required to munch on while making this important decision.
for me?
id be on that port package and ringing them 24/7
i have not see one that cheap and will be bloody amazed if there is many left
also
keep ya eye out in the papers, friends of opp teams
some people would have already snapped up packages, then their team doesnt make it and they need to do the pass on thing
hopefully as many of us can get there when our boys get there
