Standing room tickets

Post: # 815467Post Dal'sGal26 »

Just reading the info for tomorrow's registration and was wondering about best available/best available excluding standing room. If you select best available excluding standing room does that mean that there's a chance you could miss out on a ticket to the grand final?

there is BUT given the club expect approx 80% to take up
this would be more of an issue for those registering as September saints

:?: or is it a case of All Saints supporters will be in the allocation once it's up to 11,500

exactly the question i wanted to post...it probably has been covered but getting nervous of the thought of a possible GF ticket!!

Was talking to a hawthorn member today and last year they selected best available and were given a standing room ticket. Now the question is would they have got a ticket if they had chosen best available excluding standing room?????

Being a social club foundation member, a big deal has been made that all social club members will have to opportunity to purchase a GF ticket, i presume (hoping) that it will be a seat rather than standing?

Is it safe to select best available excluding standing room?

Best available is BEST AVAILABLE

If there are seats available you will secure them BEFORE you get given standing room.

If you choose to select best available EXCLUDING standing room, you stand a chance (although small) of missing out altogether IMO

Cant believe if you are one of the 11,500 social club members you'll miss out on a seat if you request a seat.

When registering, members can elect to accept standing room should these be the only tickets available when you application is reached."

Pretty self-explanatory I reckon :-)

Does it matter what time you apply? ie if I apply at 8 will I have a better chance of getting a ticket if I apply at 2:56?

If you are prepared to miss out on GF tickets than stand = choose Best available NOT standing.

If you are able to stand upright for a few hours should these tickets be the only tickets available = choose Best Available.

No advantage. They are all randomised. Specifically for this purpose.

Doesn't matter if you've had tea and biscuits at the social club for 30 years, or whether you want to include reference to your Foundation status in your SS signature.
As long as you register in the window you'll be treated no differently.

Lol unless you were like 70+, surely no one would click not includig standing?

I'd stand on my head for 2 hours if it meant I got to go to the GF.

And thanks for the answers guys. Will save me waking up at 7:30 lol

Ok, so as I read it, there is no advantage for foundation members.

But, if any tix left over, then they will be allocated to Sept Saints.

Given we have 11,500 SC members, does anyone know what the allocation is?

You'd like to think that we could get a fair few for seating.

Can anyone find out how many seats, how many restricted and how many standing?

allocation is 11,500

which is why social club is capped at that

UNLESS the AFL get returns on packages etc and can find any extras anywhere.

Let me play the devil's advocate for once...

What's the make up of the 11,500?

If the club markets the SC membership purely as a revenue raiser with the promise of a GF ticket, then surely, everyone should be entitled to a seat?

Why should standing room be a factor.

Surely loyal club fans hsould get a good seat? If not, then it sucks.

We are allocated (club) 11, 500 tickets.

1. Does any one know the % allocation of standing room tickets in that 11,500?

2. If option "best available ticket excluding standing room" chosen .....when your registration is processed you could miss out?

Was it made clear when the "selling push for SC" by the club was ramped up that the guaranteed ticket could be standing room??

Could be harsh on the elderly? that don't qualify for 3rd option....mobility impaired.......

How do we know our GF allocation is 11,500 when we don't know our opponent ?
I thought there was a certain number of seats set aside for members of the 2 clubs and they are split based on the ratio of their number of members ?

Also does anyone know how many "September Saints" there are?
