McQualters game
Thought he was fantastic today. 2 really good goals, excellent pressure and tackling, great composure. What a great story from being rookied to where he is now. Gotta be one of the most reliable kicks for goal.
Nee!

I am waiting for the saintsational votes and I am going to give him 4 points, behind roo with 5 and in front of Fisher with 3...fugazi wrote:Thought he was fantastic today. 2 really good goals, excellent pressure and tackling, great composure. Mini is just a great worker 18 disposals with 6 tackles and 2 goals
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

Thought he was terrific.
Only shaded by the superhuman efforts of Roo and Lenny.
He was definitely our 3rd best.
Some great tackles, pressure and playmaking.

Absolute gun today.
Robert Walls singled him out for praise.
Hard at it, courageous, composed under pressure, some beautiful delivery into the forward line and slotted two critical goals.
Great performance.
Apparently he is extremely highly regarded in the playing group for the role he plays - and deservedly so.

Terrific game by Mini today, arguably his best performance in the red white and black. Has reinvented himself as a hard at it, yet skillful small forward and is now an integral part of our team structure. Really good on him for the wonderful improvement he has shown.

For a guy that was delisted once or twice to reach the level of football he is playing now (and even more improvement to come I suspect) is one of the feelgood stories of the year. Are you gonna be the one?

Every time, yes EVERY time, he gets the ball at half forward, he ALWAYS hits someone with his kicks.
Its like he has been given Robert Harvey's kicking skills over 20-30, who was the master of well weighted chip kicks into space for the FWDS to lead into.
There is a reason he so high in our goal assists this year - such beautiful disposal...Hopefully our kids can continue their development so that someone (Steven/Geary?) can take over the F50 pressure role, and McQualter can move into the midfield in the future!

Mini stepped up today - a lot of our boys did, but Mini perhaps made the biggest statement. Finals footy is all about young boys becoming men and average players becoming good anf good players stepping into the spotlight and saying "Right, I want to be in this team, this is how good I am" Mini has been a good player fopr us all year - today he took that step into the spotlight. Well done, McQualter!

Mini played a super game, just got home now and was hoping there would be a thread on his great game.
Showed a lot of composure and maturity when in the past he would of shat himself and be missing in games like today.
If we are to achieve that ultimate success, its players like Mini, CJ, Bakes etc who must put in performances like that each week to add depth and perform when the chips are down.
In all i thought today's execution was full of class, perfectly executed and led by a super captain.
Go the mighty sainters!

Andrew McQualter eats pressure for breakfast and dishes it out in large serves. He's a ground level juggernaut and a tackling machine. Mini, Milne and Schneider may not be the most heralded trio of small forwards in the business, but they're probably the most effective. They've kicked 98 goals and laid 263 tackles. They're one of the main reasons that we're so much better than last year.
I'm a big fan of our small brigade. Koschitzke and Riewoldt get most of the attention, but those three will kill you if you forget about them. They've all had excellent seasons so lets hope it continues through our next game and, hopefully, another one after that.

He was fantastic today.
