So you think Zac is setting the world on fire do you , you have not seen too many games ,

Didak, Swan and Davis are the important match ups I beleive. It's going to be a tough one how we handle them.

Swan is that good, it'd be silly not to have someone go to him (as we left Jobe Watson alone who tore us a new one). As to whom I am no sure. I could see Lyon set someone like Lenny, maybe Joey go head to head with Swan.

Leon, I can see Jones getting the job hear. Jones has the runs on the board, can lay a tackle that will stick, win his own ball, and has the pace to handle leon.

Didak is a tough one as well, plays mostly middle but stints up forward. I would have Dempster on him, Dempster can go with him in the air. I think Dempster did a great job on Hodge a few weeks back (unless i got him confused with someone).

Have to have some players accountable for Shaw and Maxwell as well.

Reckon you have that right - espeically the Dempster/Didak one...Dempster has the tank to go with Didak in the guts if needed also yeah? Just close check him all day.

Eddy could run with Swan.

Jones on Davis is a must.

And Dempster or Baker on Didak.

Other than that, let them worry about us ...

On first glance:

Blake vs Cloke
Dawson vs Anthony
Bakes vs Medhurst
Jones vs Davis
Dempster vs Didak
Hayes vs Swan

So really only try to shut down Davis and Didak and trust that our on-ballers will win the contested footy and be too quick for the Collingwood midfield.

A big thing will be the selection of a viable third target that will keep Maxwell accoutable. If he and O'Brien are allowed to drop off and compete thrid man up, Roo in particular will be in for a tough day.
I agree with the above. However Baker v Dick and Fisher v Medhurst. Thomas or Tarkyn Lockyer may play a defensive role on Gilbert. If the above is right, what role does this leave Raph Clarke to do???

The Maxwell one is interesting. We don't want a repeat of the prelim from last year with Luke Hodge being third man up.

dempster v didak (maybe this is why lyon pursues with dempster, the bigger picture come finals time?!?)
baker v davis
jones v swan

and let the rest of them fight it out. dal, hayes, goddard and joey should be able to carve them up.

MUST dispose into the forward line better. schneider and milne super important.
