Roo is getting frustrated with the umpires and gave away a free off the ball for abuse to the umpires

Pretty average footy Saints. Looks like we've got A LOT of work to do going into the finals. Field kicking is attrocious, discipline not much better. Looking the worst of the top 4 heading into September, even if we smash them in the second half.

Roo marks on a fast lead and drills it from 52 out
41-40 our way.
Now this time here we go...

Beautiful big contested pack mark to Roo right on half time.
Kicks after the siren and ..............
drills it!
47-41 at the half.

Intensity and pressure seemed to go up in the second half of that quarter.
Some very ordinary skill errors though.
Thought Dal and Lenny had a good q, plus Milney just seemed to be lively.
Roo worked his way ino the game, signs are good for the second half.

Some better signs just at the end of that quarter. Suddenly we looked like the side we were a few weeks ago. First time there was intensity. Have to keep it up. We need that mojo.

And they reckon males can't multi-skill...
The stream, the delayed telecast, the AFL site for stats, Saintsational, and MMM.
Pffft easy.

NDS has had 23 to half time - I thought he was good, but didn't realise he'd had so much of the ball.
Damned batteries in my keyboard are dying...

Effort denitely lifted in the last 10 minutes but kicking skills are crap still often without any applied pressure!
Consider this; Melbourne are on track to score 82 points this game, thatts right the 4th highest score against us this season by the 16th team.
Not happy with the overall defensive game of the team at the moment as well as kicking.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Beautiful long goal from the Roo after a diving mark on the lead from Gilb.

Good to see Lenny find some touch. His kicking today has been fantastic.
