Just maybe they play in different positions and are different players. By the way I have a feeling Raph would be as kwik as Gwilt what ever that word means.

Take it easy guys, we all live and breath this team, and want the best for each of them.
It should be no revelation that coaches have favourites for one reason or another.
I you continualy see someone struggling with the pace of the game, its natural to ask questions.
Its my opinion, and i would be pretty sure im not the only one on earth.

Ross Lyon wouldn't be playing him if he was as you say - his style doesn't look speedy but R Clarke has earned his spot and should be supported by our 'supporters'.

I doubt if there are any protected species in this team - sure, Raph has had some bad days and made some bad decisions but he is not Robinson Crusoe.

Hi Kendall. You've certainly chosen a contentious topic for your first post! I'm assuming you are new to SS full stop, not just new to posting? Otherwise you would be aware that the Raph issue is ongoing and divisive.
Many on here have very strong views on Raph, one way or the other.
Most of us simply prefer not to see our boys singled out and bagged undeservedly (again, some will say this is the case with Raph, others not).
Personally I have questioned Raph's selection during the season, but I've been happy to accept that the potential was there. And I think he is living up to that now. He has played some good games recently. I expect that he will continue to improve......providing that his confidence is not eroded by being made our scapegoat by those of us who should be supporting him.
Anyway, welcome to SS. Enjoy.

kendall, welcome to the forum. Now I respect that is just your opinion which you are more than entitled to share on this forum - after all, that is the point of internet fora.

However, I too have an opinion on this issue and like yours, it is fairly contentious.

I believe that Raph Clarke is in the team for a reason and anyone who doesn't understand why the coach picks him ahead of other players should just give it a rest.

But again, that's just my opinion.

Directed to Joffa boy buddy, how do you know he is a troll, he asked why does Ross Lyon pick Raph over Gwilt etc, i dont think that is being a troll. Some of you need to get there head out of there ass and stop thinking you own this site.
