Respect all your enemies, but if we play our A game we will win the lot.saintdooley wrote:i dont like the way everyone leaves the doggies out. they wont win the GF, but they are a threat to our finals. they have the run to beat us. ive watched them since they lost to wce and they look very good!
We have beaten the Dogs easily twice this year. I am not certain their run works against the Permanent Press.

i'm not confident at all after that loss.bigred wrote:Number one.
I am soooooo much more confident coming into September. Chalk and cheese compared to last year.. I don't read much into the last two weeks.
I think we are going to absolutely unload come Finals.
Number Two.
We will win the flag. Yep, that's right.
Lock it in.
Harden the **** up people, the real season starts in 12 days.
its more because of the way we have played for the past 2 weeks.
you can't just turn on and off confidence, .
maybe too flat.
if the saints do not win well next week. the confidence levels of other teams will sky rocket, the confidence levels of the saints team will below par!

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Well, don't get too carried away HD...we only beat the Dees by a small margin at the Gold Coast earlier this year, and despite all their injuries, they're playing a lot better now. If we do lose this weekend...will saintly's POV be laughable then?HarveysDeciple wrote:laughablesaintly wrote:i'm not confident at all after that loss.bigred wrote:Number one.

I'd have to say, I think we will win...but it really doesn't prove anything. I believe the team is stuggling with 'junk time' late in the season...would have been better if we'd just forfieted our last 3 games and not even turned up.

Oops, sorry. No letting James Rose snoop around in here either...if he finds out we've won the premiership through this thread, it'll be posted everywhere. Soon every club will have their own premiership winning thread!bigred wrote:There is to be no mooching on this thread.

I think it's the "older" folks on here who are usually the victims of the losing mentality, they are the one's that constantly tell us to keep a lid on it, they are usually the ones that are somewhat condecending to us "younger" supporters because we don't understand what it's been like following the Saints...
You know what, more credit to us!
We watched our families go through the highs and frequent lows of being a Saints supporters....yet for the love of everything Saints, we still chose to support this club.

I thought that what was what we were already doing but saving ourselves the hefty fines?degruch wrote:...would have been better if we'd just forfieted our last 3 games and not even turned up.
Get real people! This team will be fit and firing come the first final. When the Dogs and the Pies come up against the Saints and the Cats, they won't know what hit them!!!!
