Can We Risk Max
Some people have Max in their grand final 22, others do not.
But the question I ask is even if Max is fit and in your best 22 can we afford the risk that he will break down yet again with another "soft tissue".
Whenever he plays now he is more than 10% likely to go off with another soft tissue tear.
Should he break down in a grand final he would restrict the interchange rotations.
Is he that much better than his alternates that you would take that risk?

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

A good point and one I think that adds to the verdict against Max.
All sentiment aside he is not, on current form, in our best 22 and now that the match committee have realised we cannot play so many talls in defence he will struggle to be included in finals.
Unpleasant I know but if he was still on our list I would cut Harves if it meant we would be a better chance for the flag.

No
He's back up back now for Dawson only. I wouldn't even play him in the 2's for the remainder,to much of a risk. Keep him on ice,no value in the seconds with his kamakazi defending.
We'll see again tommorrow how good our defence looks when he is not there .
I"ll wait for the onslaught of posters who want the favourite sons in...move on

Just a little harsh, in fact very harsh, max plays his heart out, and it is not through lack of trying that he is where he is in the 2's.jonesy wrote:No

Ross doesn't look like a sentimental man and i doubt he would play max if he feels he won't do a job, but it would be heartbreaking for one of our greatest sons to miss out should we go deep into september.
I am sitting on the fence on this one, but i am a huge fan of maxie's and would love him to taste the ultimate success should we get there.
