You dont have to change your mind but you will have to get used to it.aussierules0k wrote:As if I'd bother reading all that....
All I know is I want to either stay at Linton St or move closer rather than further away from St.Kilda.
I don't care what arguements are made - you can go on all day... I wont and never will change my mind.
Carry on quoting and quoting... as I said it wont change my mind.

Unfortunately, it's the turning of the sod.ausfatcat wrote:Hate to tell you.
The news will either be the works commencing or the works being expanded or a change in the funding model.
It will be the start of a project that, within 5 years, people will be wondering why on earth did a previous adminstration make such an appalling decision.

Will the Seaford Training Centre end up a dump like Moorabbin did.....
It didn't take Moorabbin long at all to look run down...i hope they take a bit more pride in the new place.....located on a bend in a tiny surburban street with no Social Club.....
The Social Club will be the big issue, the current one is a sorry excuse for a Social Club and i can't talk about the new one because there isn't one...

You always have Melbourne until they lose interest when their new training/admin base is opened.
The current 'Social Club' is a flowering disgrace!!bobmurray wrote: The Social Club will be the big issue, the current one is a sorry excuse for a Social Club and i can't talk about the new one because there isn't one...
I wanted to shout a0k a Birthday Beer after Saint's training on Wednesday; but I had no hope as I had the kids in tow and they weren't allowed in a gaming area. All that's there is a scungy dive of a bar with a few oldies throwing their pensions into Pokies... No Family area whatsoever.
WTF has happened down there? We're potential Premiers and we have nowhere for members to gather for a quiet one.
The North Mackay Saints have better facilities; and they're a Bush League AFL Club in a Rugby League State.
Rant over.

Went by last week on my way to Mornington, so took some pic's.
I am optimistic about the move, it gave me a fair impression of just how big this facility is going to be. Fair bit of work happened already, I wonder if they are on schedule?
Actually, I live in the eastern suburbs, but found it easier to get to seaford on Eastlink as I guess it's more direct.

Looking good. Glad to see some movement happening. Easier for us to get to Seaford as well SainterK as we are in the Eastern Suburbs as well. Eastlink is a godsend.....SainterK wrote:Went by last week on my way to Mornington, so took some pic's.

Did anyone read the article with Brock McLean from Tuesday's paper....one of the reasons he wanted out of Melbourne was the 3hr commute to Casey.
Not sure how often he had to commute down there, but it was an interesting comment all the same.
