That aint going to happen. trades work like this, A very good player needs a low draft pick or a great swap which doesnt happen often or a combination of both. Kerr would be Bally and a top 10 draft pick which we dont have. Ball will stay on a very reduced wage unless there is interest from a top 4 club that needs an average inside midfielder.saintjake wrote:would love to get daniel kerr for himXD

Which one of those first two is Plugge66, then?Mr Magic wrote:Well unless you're a member of either the coaching panel or the match/selection committee at St Kilda, then your post needs an 'IMHO' attached to it. (IMO)BaysideSaint wrote:you're all idiots.

Don't agree with his omission.....asked to fill in a role, that McQualter has worked at for an entire season.....and being judged on perceived expectation.
He is one that we will definitely need for finals - funny how we had no control of the ball for half the game against essendon......
Looks like half this forum is already off him anyways......

Without being rude let's pick more players that have no desire to come to St Kilda and say that Ball will be traded for themjay young wrote:if we could swap him for porplezia (however you spell it) then at least we could have a forward who can kick straight . nothing against nick he plays his ass off but set shots at goal , man hes missed some.
pple who start talking about trading a former captain of the club just because he gets dropped give me the sh!ts big time....
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

ball is not up for trade
are theses people serious trade luke ball .what a laugh! the guys a champion who gives his heart and soul to this club .i hope he makes you all eat your words.SaintHomer wrote:unbelievable. i'm glad the club doesn't turn its back as quickly as some supporters. ball must remain a required player. he will find form again (maybe not in time this year) and with him in the reserves, that's super depth and super pressure on those in the side.
he's also a victim of his own success. he's been every bit as good as armitage in the past two weeks (arguably better). but i don't think either are in our best 22 at present.

This thread is a disgrace to the club and the jumper.
Luke Ball has been in the team to help us win nearly all our games this year ... and he could very well be accepting a premiership medallion and Norm Smith on the 26th September ...
And people start this thread?
It should be locked. Utter disgrace.

Over rated IMO
He should have been dropped a long time before he was - the guy cant run, cant kick, cant chase, cant take an over head mark. Once again the saints are left with an over paid wreck of a footballer from the THOMAS era! For the past 2 years he has been a mirror of his brother Matthew and where is he playing ...
SAINTS another day older another day closer to the Holy Grail!

Not arguing with the idea of him being dropped - his form doesn't warrant a spot in the side IMO.
But trading him? A guy who has bled more than anyone over the last 5 years for the jumper, and who we have put an enormous amount of time and money into?
Talk about premature ... doubt your wife is very happy ...

It's amazing that people don't have faith in our coaching/selection process that sees us currently sitting 1st on the ladder @19-1.
I think that the club is doing pretty well at understanding the form/fitness/value of our players, and I would be surprised if Luke Ball does not play a few games in September.

Ive been praying this to be the case. That Luke Balls inability to run, kick greater than 30 or take a mark (he used to be quite good overhead- aka Bartel)........I kept saying "maybe its in his head......and he can get past it...".......but its wearing thin.BaysideSaint wrote:you're all idiots.

I KNOW that if Luke Ball could start to run/carry and become a truly offensive mid then I agree come finals he would be the ace in our pack and add immediate depth to a midfield that IMHO is 1 quality mid short (especially against Geelongs).
I havent given up on Ball........but he may not get another chance.
