His manager is going to struggle to get a 'big contract' out of the Saints with Bally not an automatic selection atm.
If you take today's team selection at 'face value' then,
Armitage is currently preferred as an inside mid
Mini is currently preferred as a defensive hff
CJ is currently preferred as a tagging midfielder.

Not sure of the 1st one, they know what Ball gives, armitage an unknown quantity at the moment. Worryis Ball could become Daniel Harford mark 2. Hope not and he bounces back. Must be remembered althugh did not miss footy coming off first full season for a while.Mr Magic wrote:His manager is going to struggle to get a 'big contract' out of the Saints with Bally not an automatic selection atm.

unbelievable. i'm glad the club doesn't turn its back as quickly as some supporters. ball must remain a required player. he will find form again (maybe not in time this year) and with him in the reserves, that's super depth and super pressure on those in the side.
he's also a victim of his own success. he's been every bit as good as armitage in the past two weeks (arguably better). but i don't think either are in our best 22 at present.

and i think constant injuries have hurt him. but agree with everything you said. We must keep Ball, he deserves the chanceSaintHomer wrote:unbelievable. i'm glad the club doesn't turn its back as quickly as some supporters. ball must remain a required player. he will find form again (maybe not in time this year) and with him in the reserves, that's super depth and super pressure on those in the side.

form changes class does not.
ball is a class player with a few issues atm.
I would hate to see Ball leave or be pushed.
That said he needs to earn his place.
everything that can be done should be done to keep him.
those throwing rocks at him need a good hard look at themselves. I would how many people would put their body on the line as ball has done for the club.

Well unless you're a member of either the coaching panel or the match/selection committee at St Kilda, then your post needs an 'IMHO' attached to it. (IMO)BaysideSaint wrote:you're all idiots.

luke ball's position is unquestioned.
he is NOT the guy who cant get a start.
he is THE GUY that everything depends on.

Its not whether Luke Ball is good enough or not its to other things, are we prepared to pay a pretty large sum for a depth player and the answer should be no and secondly can we get a good trade for a depth player and if for some strange reason the answer is yes then he could go.
Depth players dont earn 500k a year no matter how much we like and respect him.

His position obviously is in question or he wouldn't be dropped - again!
We are 19-1 without a huge input from him, so hardly everything depends on him.
Maybe I'm not as profound as you, but from where I'm sitting your post makes absolutely no sense.
