The sun came up this morning
Was pretty disappointed to lose last night, especially to essendon of all teams. Went to bed feeling pretty deflated.
However, today is a different story. I've woken up feeling completely relaxed and calm. Have had bombers fans giving me crap at work and I've just laughed it off, have even been calm in telling them they had a good win. Feel like a massive weight has been lifted. More confident of what is to come then ever before.
Didn't subscibe to the need to lose theory, but can certainly see it's benefits today. Bring on September.

I actually said during the game thread yesterday that I would stay away this week cause the place would erupt.
Wrong, everyone has been really good. Some really great posts here today, and some great opinions. No sky is falling posts and it has given me some great therapy
I think that we all can actually see the bigger picture

Some great posts today, I am really enjoying it. Banned myself from reading the papers last night, only to get up and read away this morning. Glad I did the papers are quite a good read. Had visions of the headline like when the dogs ended our 10 in a row a few years ago "PoP" that really peed me offmatrixcutter wrote:have to agree mullet
i said something like 'the place will explode' too.
im quite impressed
rational and calmness prevails

He was back again this morning under the guise of roo447 or something like that . He changed his name but the posts were the same. He is not a stkilda supporter just a sh*t stirrer. Cant stand people like that who feel so good whilst hiding behind a keyboard.STILLWAITING wrote:That idiot James sure makes me want to stay awaymullet wrote:I actually said during the game thread yesterday that I would stay away this week cause the place would erupt.

Was pretty gutless, when I dont go to the game I usually enjoy the match thread, very entertaining, as you may have seen I got sucked in by the tosser. If he is there again I wont be respondingmullet wrote:He was back again this morning under the guise of roo447 or something like that . He changed his name but the posts were the same. no point
spend that 2 mins posting something about the saints
persons obviously bored and a few sandwiches short of a picnic
back to OP
we are still 19-1
we are still flag favs (or there abouts)
we still have great players who now realise what it feels like to be on the end of a close one and what it takes to get over the line
4 qtr effort
the sun came up this morning
i said "shite happens"...bring on north
in a way im kinda glad we dropped it.

September is all that matters.
Good post no 1 miss saint. You are spot on, it really does not mean much, no matter what happens for the rest of the season, we can move from top spot

My thoughts exactly!
I don't even need to start a "why am I not worried" post.
We are one of 16 teams in the comp and not the only ones a chance for the flag, any of the top four teams can pip it. The flag is our mission and no one said it was ever going to be easy!
While I'm on cliches - why do we fall? To pick ourselves back up!
Maybe we should be paying Geelong a bit more respect than we have been the last month?

Actually, if we go all the way, it is likely to be the only thing people (other than some Saints supporters) remember. You know, "the miss after the siren for the perfect season". It's an epitaph that we should be so lucky to bear!miss-saint09 wrote:Great to see everyone being so philosophical about the loss. Yes, dont think we will remember no matter what happens, it has little or ne effect at the end of the seasonmullet wrote:Absolutely , I hope this is the caseperfectionist wrote:Actually, if we go all the way, it is likely to be the only thing people (other than some Saints supporters) remember.
