If they hadn't had Fletcher, Ryder and 2 others out for the last quarter, we wouldn't have got near them.

We were smashed today.

Bring on next week.

Agree - but why wan't it a Sainters fist putting the decision out of doubt.

We lost - Essendon won - In truth the better team on the night won - Better in the finals - I doubt it - better tonight - yes!

yep....
Agree about the fist. Things happen in games. A win may have masked things but they will learn that a good side can switch on and beat a great side. A great side can be slightly off and lose.

Our last quarter efforts were sensational and in the end the game was there to be won after the siren.

I have full confidence in our players and the coaches. They will recharge and make a run for the holy grail. Go boys!!

Cant put it all on that incident. We had plenty of chances. Differences on this side of the fence, not just nick.

The silly 50metres for tackling after the mark.
Running too far with the ball.
Kosis handpass at the end and his shot for goal from in close earlier in the game.
Poor defense in the 2nd quarter.

then umpiring wise
the touched point.
Ball was out of bounds before an essendon goal, ump was on the blind side.

We will learn. Some food for thought down at the club. Prob the worst thing coming into finals would be thrashing teams these last 3 rounds and learning nothing.

Oh well, I'm happy with the spirit that the players showed in the last qtr or so.
Sadly almost all of Kosi's talent is below his shoulders.
