If Kosi kicks 5 we will win the flag

Post: # 796402Post Milan Faletic »

He is our X-factor.

I am still not convinced that he has what it takes. I have no doubt about his ability, but can he do it on the big stage.

Roo is a true leader and always delivers but Kosi...he is a great footballer but can make his mark in history on one day in September.

What do you guys think of Kosi?

Brutal. And hard. Based on what i saw from the second row at the SCG a few weeks ago.

In the first quarter against Sydney he slammed LRT into the turf with a tackle that went on a little after the ball had popped free and really rattle him. And the noise when he hit Roo in the marking contest was fierce.

Presents well and can take game-breaking pack-busting marks under pressure.

Frustrating when he seems to go missing but that's the nature of playing up front I guess. Lyon sent him back briefly in the last quarter against Sydney and Hawthorm - I assume he's seen as a good space blocker.

Like is he the new "cowboy" or something?
Why 5?

This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

Ok 6...7

I think that Roo, Milne, Schneider, McQ and others will take care of the their goals but Kosi can hit or miss.

If you look at our big wins, usually Kosi fires. 5 was a random number, no Cowboy Neale. Most GFs, someone stands up. Shane Ellen 5 in 97, Matera 5 for WC. It's that x factor. I could say if Roo kicks 10 we will win too but this a reasonable and attainable target for Kosi.

That's why 5.

What if he only kicks 4?

And is it Grand Final week already?

I must've missed the QF and Prelim... we obviously went ok.

If St Kilda plays in the Grand Final and kicks more goals and behinds than their opponents, St Kilda will win the flag.

Kosi has the ability to kick over 70 - 80 goals in a season if Ross left him down in the goal square for a hole season. His marking and kicking is extraordinary. And i think he's up there as the best in the league in both categories, maybe not kicking of late. It's just inconsistency that lets him down. He played a brilliant match against Sydney, didn't hurt them too much on the score board yet kept working hard all night like good players do. But then he had a shocker last week.

He will lift in the grand final if the time comes.

Played like a bloke who didn't think he was playing I reckon.

I expect big things from him today against an undersized and youthful defence that'll be scrambling as it is to cover Riewoldt.

BIG opportunity for him to go from a trot to a gallop.

Tell you what, if he doesn't, there'll be some lively debate about him next week. Patience + Kosi do not a marriage make....

Hey thats an amazing stat if true...

Will sure get the belief factor up if he kicks a couple early 8-)

Talking any game from here in...unlike a few here not for one minute assuming us in the Grand final yet..Prelims are almost as hard to win

Thanks.

I think we missed McEvoy. He can be a forward option for us. Haven't seen the stats. Just got home from the game.

What did people think about Gardiner and King?

Thought I would rehash this thread because I am sick of the "No Riewoldt, no Saints" school of thought.

This is the day. It has been reduced to one game, Justin. This is the chance to make your name on the big stage.

You win the Norm Smith and we will have won the flag...and I will do a pants down after the game.

For what it's worth, I have been told that my butt is ok.

Pleeeeeeeease Kosi.

Ablett, Chapman amd Bartel are the obvious ones.

But who are the other two Kosi should kick?

I have every confidence in the big fella, I am sure he will take this game by the scruff of the neck.
