I'm surprised by the lumpiness of our line up for tomorrow - we have at least four defenders capable of playing tall (GIlbert, Dawson, Max and Fish), plus Blake and Dempster on the bench. That is in addition to Kosi, King and Gardiner. I think we should be including another runner and Geary has been listed best in the scoobs for the past three weeks (excluding the Hawks game, where he was quite ok, just not as good as Armi). I do love the fact that we're so versatile with most of the defence capable of playing on almost anyone, but still think we're short of one more player for run or dash.
Anyway, hardly a gripe, at last count the club is going just ok.

We are a sniff
Will probs take them a few seasons to get to know each others games...They should be killing it with some of the names they have playing! But it's hard to just stick two teams together and make them play well.bobmurray wrote:Sandy seems to be having it's worst season for awhile....
are they struggling with their new alignment...not enough good players...

Would it be fair to suggest that Sandringham BLEW IT.Bernard Shakey wrote:Shocking game, howling gale, Sandy didn't start till half time.
By then the game was gone.
Conditions were not good for the Saints players. No-one stood out.
Didn't wake up till three quarter time and kicked inaccurately.

With Gwilt and Geary both playing Begley has to be the player held in reserve for the St Kilda game.saint66au wrote:Sandringham 0.0 0.6 1.9 9.18 (72)

But does that mean he was first choice for reserve or was it St Kilda making sure that both Gwilt and Geary got a game at the weekend.
It would have been a farce if Gwilt having copped 93.75 points towards his future record were to sit the game out anyway by being the St Kilda reserve.
He could have taken the 1 week suspension and 25 points on his future record plus a 10% loading for any future offence. - a lesser future penalty than 93.75 points.
