I think he does bleed for the club but is too scared to watch if we may fail.
He said he went for a long walk , I think along the beach. Pretty sure he hung out under the jetty for .....some quality time with himself.
And there lies the problem of the 04-06 saints. Too arrogant to watch a Grand Final in which they thought they should of been in.
It wasn't just Thomas,it was half the playing group. They were that far ahead of themselves that they disrespected the opportunity to go and watch the Grand Final as they thought they should of been there. They should of been MADE to go...all of them. Get them to feel what it was like, what they missed out on,what they gave up. Instead they had a culture of arrogance drummed into there brains week in week out by that control freak.
This is the attitude that cost us a GF spot AGAIN the very next year in the 05 prelim...one of the worst finals performances by any side in the history of the game. They were that arrogant they didn't even have a go...thought they only had to turn up...rested players ready so they'd be ready the week after.
The longer time go's on,the better that move was from Butterss to oust Thomas. The arrogance that regime had cost me (us) premierships.
Bottom line is in relation to trying to get a flag, he tried 100%. He obviously did not get everything right , but he was utterly committed to the club winning a flag.
He really is a true StKilda person and I hope he is at the GF.
If we win maybe he'll have his lawyers try and find a way to still claim his million dollar bonus.
I think he's either too proud or he's fishing for an official invite, which I dont think he'll get... or maybe he expects them to bring the cup to him that night like they did with Dunstall.

Hope he doesn't wait up too late.
(...and it's 100% what he said.)
GT is obviously nervous whether he will be invited or not. Does he deserve an official invite? Does RB deserve an offical invite?
Anyone with half sense knows we would not be today without the guys pre maturity.
After he pays Rod Butterss back the money he owes him, GT wont be able to afford Grand Final tickets.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Yes but if he is sells his Brighton home now, which is in one of best bayside streets, he will have plenty of $$ to pay back what he owes his old mate Butters.
Having seen Grants ego....Im tipping he's gonna wait at home for the cup to be dropped round for an audience before whingeing the AFL need to do something about the cup and how that's his arch enemy Demetrious fault...
Basil Fawlty: Ah, Manuel? There is too much butter on those trays.
Manuel: Que?
Basil Fawlty: [speaking slowly] There is too much butter on those trays.
Manuel: Ah, no senor. No "on those trays"...
[counting the trays]
Manuel: "uno, dos, tres".
Basil Fawlty: Where's Sybil?
Manuel: ¿Que?
Basil Fawlty: Where's Sybil?
Manuel: Where's... the bill?
Basil Fawlty: No, not a bill! I own the place!
Basil Fawlty: Manuel, go and get me a hammer
Manuel: Que?
Basil Fawlty: A... hammer
Manuel: Ahhhhh, a hammer sandwich!
Basil Fawlty: Oh, must we go through this every time? A hammer.
Manuel: You want to see my hamster?
Basil Fawlty: No, not your hamster. How could I knock a nail in with a hamster? Well... I could try, couldn't I?
[walks away]
Basil Fawlty: Get a hhhammer and hhhit you on the hhhead with it.
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)
I believe GT actually said "I'd love to go, but probably not."
I reckon he'd love to be there but with all the likely media attention on him being there, being such a controversial EX coach, would be too much for him to bear, and therefore he would watch it at home.
Unless he finds a way of attending on the quiet.
That's my take, anyway.
