Of the idiot propositions that you are supporting on the basis that the person who made them did NOT attend training. Or perhaps he did, and has just been concealing it from us. Let us know more of this infinite wisdom.Bernard Shakey wrote:Evidence of what?perfectionist wrote:What a moronic comment. I will guarantee there will be at least five changes this week and the players left out will be in our top 22.perfectionist wrote:Of the idiot propositions that you are supporting on the basis that the person who made them did NOT attend training. I repeat. What is your evidence? I cannot see any reason to falsely alarm board members on a report from training thread. If it is a guess, then say so. But, the evidence from training did not suggest any such thing. All of the players will be available for selection based on what we saw today. Of course, things can happen between now and next Sunday. The selectors may well chose to rest some players - who can be described as having "niggles". But they weren't in evidence today.Bernard Shakey wrote:I will guarantee there will be at least five changes this week and the players left out will be in our top 22.perfectionist wrote:Of the idiot propositions that you are supporting on the basis that the person who made them did NOT attend training. Three down from at least five.Bernard Shakey wrote:I would suggest from what I saw that Mini, McEvoy and Jones will be rested and probably a couple more.
We know that there are eight blokes fit this week who where described last week as injured or as having "niggles" last week. We all hope that most of them get back. The selection strategy is something I am quite prepared to leave to, well, the selectors, they seem to have done OK until now. My point is about falsely alarming people about "supposed" injuries to those at training today. Two completely different points, which should be in two completely different threads.
I think I saw you....I certainly saw the jigglingsaint. I couldn't stay until the end, had to get the little one out of the rain when it got pretty heavy and there was nowhere to shelter.BakesFan wrote:..and no-one there noticed jiggster and myself having a good yak??
Fair enough you may not know my rough head, but 'thejiggingsaint' is pretty hard to miss. I had my trusty Akubra and Saints Dri-za-bone on, so I was warm as toast and enjoyed watching the boys (in between jiggster's constant yapping )
My report echos OWTS's.....
.....just adding the point that the players were terrific at the end of training. Many of them came over for autographs and photos with supporters.
I asked Lenny if he would be back on Sunday and he said, "It'll be up to the selectors if they think I'm good enough "

Ben had his left thigh strapped.
CJ seemed to have a foot problem.
I'm not suggesting there are major injury problems and neither is plugger66, what we're saying is that it is more than likely that a few players, with "niggles" as you say will be rested this week.
I will be very surprised if five of our best are not missing this week.
Also, why would you say this? "I cannot see any reason to falsely alarm board members on a report from training thread."
Pretty sure the club board would take their advice from the Football Department.

extract from a morning paper....
"l seven players who were surprise omissions for last weekend's match against Hawthorn - Nick Riewoldt, Lenny Hayes, Brendon Goddard, Leigh Montagna, Nick Dal Santo, Sam Fisher and Steven Baker - trained with the main group yesterday. Defender Sam Gilbert, who has missed the past two matches, also took part in the session.
Hudghton said the fight for spots was all positive. ''We've got nearly a full healthy list, so you can't fit 40-plus players into 22,'' he said. ''But at the end of the day we have to look at it as a team and the contributors who don't play in the team week in, week out, play a valuable role in putting pressure on the team to perform.''

Clinton really did seem to have some problems with his foot, apart from that everyone seemed well. I thought Goddard looked a little sore, but someone assured me he said he was playing this week.
How reassuring to know we have depth now Stinger....but I really don't envy the selectors in making the tough decisions in the coming weeks.

Do you actually understand a joke? Alarm people on the board. Could you build that up a bit more. Not one person apart from you even uasked why they will miss as they all got it.perfectionist wrote:Of the idiot propositions that you are supporting on the basis that the person who made them did NOT attend training.
