Is it now OK to let the lid off?
OK folks, I've been a fan for as long as I know, been going to games since the 1980's, lived in Moorabbin in the 80's, cried in 1997 and 2004, is this it!?! Scared I am - s*** yeah! But people, I think this is it!!! This has to be the best St Kilda team there has ever been!!! I think we can do it this year!
GO SAINTERS!!!
GO SAINTERS!!!

Lid firmly on....
I'm tipping that at this stage last year Geelong were looking odds on to win the flag...and there would have been plenty of cats supporters wanting to let the lid off...
Once September starts it's a whole new ball game...
St Kilda are doing everything right in the quest for this years flag...
Let the lid off when they're in front when the final siren goes on the last game of the year....
I reckon it will be more a huge relief if the Saints win the flag..

I have a semi trailer sitting on the lid! You will hear the BEEP BEEP BEEP of it reversing if we win the flag.

Lid comes 1/2 off when we make the GF...til then history will record we've not progressed since last year..consecutive wins or otherwise
Happy to prise it part-open for GF week. 97 was a magic time, walking 10ft tall all week cos MY SIDE WAS IN THE GRAND FINAL!!! Other sides just think it will happen every so often as a natural occurence, not Saints fans lol

Only a minor celebration now that the minor premiership has been won.
(Three games clear with a massive percentage advantage and only 3 games to go.)

Well said. All this talk of possible GF strip clashes and GF ticket allocations is MAJORLY premature. We still have to win FINALS football and get there. I know I sound cynical but until we make to the Grand Final, 19 from 19 means nothing. We still have to beat a fired up and experienced Geelong and/or Collingwood who will have more crowd support that we can imagine. We look good, damn good, but let's get there first. And then we blast the lid and have a crack at history. Until then, adopt the cool, calm and strategic plan that Ross has instilled in the team.noob wrote:if we make the grandfinal.. the lid goes off and barrack your heart out for that premiership cup, for the red, white and black!
