Gardi was a proven player before he came to us; he needed to overcome the injuries and escape the WA fishbowl. Now that A & B are resolved, I see him more as repaying the faith rather than having been a massive improver. (Loving having him onboard though!!)
Kosi worries me at the moment. I was looking for him to really seize the game by the scruff of the neck on Saturday. He really seems to have been lacking the spark for the last couple of rounds. Come finals, we need "Kosi the Konqueror", smashing the packs for contested grabs, bringing the ball to the ground for Yapper & Schneids and providing the target/foil for Riewoldt.
Prepared to give Kos the benefit of the doubt on the weekend.....took a couple of nice grab's ,but it wasn't a great day (swirly, windy condition's ) for big forwards.........most goals for both teams came from crumber/mid types.
But do agree he need's to fire up a bit heading towards finals.....because Kosi in full flight is a sight to behold and almost unstoppable.....come on Big Fella.

I will always defend the big guy, always have. If you listen to Robert Walls, you probably came to the conclusion he didn't really try. If you listen to those who made the trip down, he did. You make a good point ahout the conditions, 4 talls amounted to 2 goals.
Was there....and the conditions, although not appalling, were tricky....for everyone, especially the big guy's.Trying to constantly judge the flight and change direction would have been difficult to say the least.(Big Mac's game was a ripper though)
Kosi is a big key to September success i reckon and we need him steamrolling straight through the likes of Maxwell,Harley and anyone else who want's to go Third Man Up.....I just hope he has had his ordinary games for the year and there are no underlying circumstances behind the slight form drop off.

Bad habits reappearing.
Let's hope he gets his act together this weekend. His last couple of weeks are looking ominous.
On Sept 23 2008 I wrote on a thread here that I was "gravely concerned about our immediate future" and that "things will get a lot worse before they get better". We haven't lost a game since.
So credit to the whole team. Their improvement over one off-season has been phenomenal. Gilbert has just been an absolute star and hope he's on track to be at full fitness come finals. McQualter has become such an important player in such a short amount of time that I can scarcely believe I'm saying it. And for all his endeavour, at the end of last year, I just didn't think CJ was going to make it. But it feels weird singling out three when to a man, every player has improved. Glad someone pointed out that even Roo has taken his game to another level. I'm sure it's already been pointed out on here somewhere but I noted Woosha gave him a rap on that Ch 7 footy panel show on Sunday morning.
Milney's defensive efforts also continue to leave me in various states of disbelief week after week. Just loving his work.
