Problem with the Geelong footy club social area is that they tend to have Geelong supporters there!saintbrat wrote:i'm thinkingt hat may be the case all around-

Nah, I think I'll stay and watch it in my Saints friendly home!!!!
Unfortunately I'll still be in hospital...otherwise I'd be making the trip down to Kardinia Park...
In a strange match scheduling decision, Sandy reserves are playing at Werribee and the seniors at Geelong..
Will have to be a quick drive after the reserves to get to Geelong for the start of the seniors...
A must win game for Sandy...beat Geelong and we go ahead of them plus a decent percentage as well

Alistair Smith not named in any team.
Luke Miles not named in any team.
AND Leigh Fisher not named in any team for a second week.
Yet none is listed as injured.
Does anyone know if any have been suspended by the VFL or is it just another case of St Kilda FC being a little naughty with the facts.

With Matthew Maguire, Leigh Fisher and Luke Miles out action he is ahead of only Begley, Connors, first year players and rookies.

If Armitage does not play with St kilda this week then that's a fair dinkum disgrace and a total mistake!
I am a huge fan of Ross Lyon, have been since day one, rate him as the best coach in the AFL, but it does not mean I agree with everything he does!
Example, I was pissed off last year when he persisted with Birss and Fiora all year, complete waste of time and achieved absolutely nothing until eventually the right decision was made at the end of the year.
But in continually playing these two who were delisted at the end of the year, it denied valuable experience and opportunities for a few others who are still with us and in particular, Armitage!
IMHO Armitage should have been getting valuable gametime last year,........anyway I thought at least he will get a fair go this year
I cannot believe that Eddy continues to get game time at the moment for IMHO he does not have enough skills and at this point in time is not ready
The scenario in Tasmania this week is perfect for Armitage and IMHO it will be a total oversight and stupid to not give him the opportunity with Hayes, Goddard and Montagna all out of the team.
I think Ross Lyon is one of the best things to ever happen to this club, BUT if Armitage does not play for St kilda this weekend in the midfield IMHO it will be a huge mistake and I cannot find any logical reason for his exclusion.
Did Armitage sleep with Ross's missus or something?
Seriously, I'm quite perplexed as to his non selection.
and selecting three ruckmen in the wet,
Surely this is just a smokescreen and Armitage must come in for King!
FAIR DINKUM
