maybe mick has a point....
actually, i think Mick might have a point (i can't believe i just wrote that...).
the saints play our last game on sunday before the finals too, it's a disadvantage, fair enough. especially if the pies don't make the top 4, they won't have a second chance and then the extra couple of days would really be unfair.
not to say that collingwood hasn't played every other saturday and friday night though, i'm so sick of watching them while the saints only play one friday night game in melbourne ALL YEAR!! ridiculous.

They have a point, it is unfair.
That said at the minute one of these sides appear likely to be our opponent in the Qualifying final and have a disadvantage of 2 and half hours, which as they will most likely have qualified with about 6 less wins seems reasonably fair.
If it was to be shifted to the Saturday, they would then in fact have a 24 hour advantage over a side with 6 game better season.
I understand the problem is that one of the two sides won't play on the Sunday but I'm not sure the answer is to disadvantage the minor premier to shift a game, doubly so, when one remembers that the AFL deemed shifting grounds for two games was to big a logistical exercise.

Collingwood rat
I smell a Collingwood rat - if they change the Pies Dogs game - and as the ladder stands now we will play the Pies first week of finals - they will have a longer break - the higher team is suppose the get the longest break.
