Yeah... And each time we miss out on winning the grand final, me and my dad can at least see the positives - "At least the footy is worth more since it's our only premiership!"matrixcutter wrote:holy farking crapamoli!!!thirty-seven!? wrote:I have one of the match day footballs from the 1966 Grand Final, signed by the whole team. I have a photo of the 1913 St Kilda team (our first ever VFL Grand Final)
It's hard to describe what it looks like exactly, but it's filthy and needs a clean, I think it was manufactured in the '80s because it has the old 1980's St Kilda club logo and VFL logo.
I used to have a picutre of six St Kilda footballers from 1997 titled "St Kilda's Finest" - it had Stewie, Burke, harves, Winmar, heatley and someone else. I forget the sixth person, i think it might have been hall.
Apart from that, I don't really have any other memorabilia.

I've got a heap of Saints stuff of course, a few of them autographed by various players/coaches, but nothing of any real value other than sentimentally to me.
My brother in law, however bought a signed match worn guernsey that Harves wore in our finals loss to Geelong, and 'cos he knows how I idolise Harves he let me keep it here for a while.
It wasn't framed at that stage, so it crossed my mind that maybe I could wear it to bed , but for some reason Hubby said no.....

If so, then forgive my skepticism. Some fairly impressive memorabilia.n1ck wrote:I would imagine he's telling the truth... at least about the medallion from his first post.bigcarl wrote:here i am wrote:I also have mounted the boot tony lockett kicked his 100th goal with v Footscray in 1987 his brownlow medal year and also a framed st kilda jumper signed by R Harvey and I Stewart.

hmm, played in 1966 premiership (or persuaded a player to part with his premiership medallion) and was close enough to plugger in 1987 to persuade him to part with his 100-goal boot.here i am wrote:I also have mounted the boot tony lockett kicked his 100th goal with v Footscray in 1987 his brownlow medal year and also a framed st kilda jumper signed by R Harvey and I Stewart.
knows stewie and harvey well enough to get them to sign a guernsey.
