Luke Ball has missed 2 weeks. Not sure you can compare him with Goose. Anyway if Goose leaves so be it. I am not sure when you are trying to win a flag you play a guy that doesnt deserve a game so he will stay next year and even if he played a game or two that will not stop him from leaving if he wants to.

It's a tough business, and it doesn't mean Goose should get an automatic game..if he was killing them every week in the VFL, he would be in the seniors now, but he is not setting the world on fire. Bally was sent to the VFL to work on some aspects of his game that RL wanted from him according to Roo on TV the other night. The message is clear, you must be fully fit, fully in form, and have exactly the right skills for the team that RL is getting ready for a crack at the flag. Goose and Bally may still get a game depending in injuries or a sudden loss of form by some players, but RL will not change the winning formula.
