Saints have never won 18 games in a season

I know the stats records have been tumbling every week but I haven't seen it mentioned that 17 is the highest number of games (including finals) that the Saints have ever won in a season. In 1971, 1997, 2004,

.... and 2009 :-)

You are right, we had never won more than 16 games in a home and away season before this year.

Let's hope this record is joined by others along with the doubling of our premiership cups.
