Lenny!
Anyone else enjoy that contest on the half back flank where he threw himself headfirst at a million miles an hour to win the footy for us?
Really sets the tone does out Lenny!
Pretty nice all round game to go with it too!

two weeks - 'rough conduct'!felixleo wrote:Fantastic committment but something the A.F.L. rules committee will probably look at outlawing in the future as it easily could have destroyed Johnsons knees just as Buckley did to Joel Smith all those years ago. Already is a suspendable offence in the Gridiron.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Can you believe the clown in the Age didn't give him a vote (they do the top 5) ?

and the most annoying thing is that the same thing had happened to osborne a couple of years prior to that incident.when he was still playing for the swine........he should have known better...cost us a premiership and a very good player...the only one of any value that we got for plugger.......

I remember that MCG injury of Joel Smith well. I can still see the replay on that big screen with Joel Smith's knee swinging sideways in a direction no knee was ever designed to swing. It was a committed rather than an illegal tackle though and I regret that a great ghosting Half forward flanker destined for greatness and part of The Ozzy Jones era disappeared, to return 2 years later as a gritty defender for Hawthorn. If only we had kept the faith and hung on to him!
