Yeh that locks it in after round 17 which is a great effort...

All about fine tuning and list management now...are 2 games and percentage [virtually 3 games ] clear on top with five to go so top is very strong odds on as well..not that 1 or 2 are much different anyhow.

Just a great feeling to know we are in a position to have a red hot crack...

Have confidence that they are not 17 zip for nothing...

Bring the finals on

Great effort.

I'm still of the opinion that there is a fairly large difference between 1 and 2.

1. You get an extra days rest before the GF if you make it as the minor premier.

2. You play the 4th best side first up, not the third. Personally I would rather the Doggies and Geelong slog it out in the first week (whom for me are clearly #2 and #3) then the loser go through another game before running up against the Saints on the Friday night Prelim final.

Considering our high intesity game, the extra days break would be invaluable if it came to that.

I reckon the Pies are better than Footscray.....the Pies in their current form may be able to make a game of it against us.....before falling apart in the end of course!!!

I agree, would rather play the Doggies week 1 as at round 17, especially on the MCG, lots of water to go under the bridge obviously....

Not sure about that, saw them at the MCG against the Hawks, the Pies looked a long way off the pace.

Agree with you too Splayd. Would rather play fourth than third for a prelim spot.

how many more wins until we stitch up 1st spot???

2 games + a heap of % ahead of geelong basically = three game advantage

so we need to win 2 more games

Hard to see us losing top spot from here. Two ten goal losses would only see our % just below 150. Three more wins would do it for sure.

We will play the pies. A win will probably see us playing the dogs in the preliminary.
