Post: # 782204Post plugger66 »

Couldnt get to the game tonight because I was otherwise occupied but obviously at least one has to be omitted for Kosi plus of course Goose. Who will it be?

Is being Omiotted a painful procedure? :)

Love the Goose but he is obviously going to struggle to get back in and if he does will he be able to hold his spot.

I reckon they'll play him in the Melbourne game

You shouldn't have changed it Plugger. Omiotted was more entertaining.

On omiottions, Can we have Max Zack and Blake in the side at the same time. Opinions only please and not a bagfest.

Totally agree. Dangerous against the only side that can beat us and that is the Cats. Blake will play so it must be out of Zac and Max IMO.

Gee the selectors have some tough calls to make.

Whilst that will be painful and controversial, it is so much better than the old days when the problem was trying to find someone to fill a gaping hole.

IMO there would be a riot if a fit Max was left out for Zack. Having said that Zack has done everything right and nothing wrong.

How good is it that we have Zac, Gardy, Kosi and Bally to come back in.
Gardy for Ben obviously, Bally for Eddy if he's fit or doing what he's asked, whichever is the real issue. Kosi for Jimmy.
Max and Zac is atough one isn't it. Glad I'm not a selector.
Leaves himself wide open. :D

Think I like Geary over Eddy.

Eddy gives his all,but lacks composure and confidence with the ball. Geary backs himself to snag a goal, whilst Eddy is poor at finishing. Come finals we need to minimise poor ball use and capitalise on everything inside 50.

This is where our biggest improvement can come still.

Kosi will be back next week if his hand is ok.

Gardy when he's ready.

I'm looking forward to seeing Bally this afternoon at Sandy.

I don't thing there will be many changes, as usual.

Agree with jonesy. Not sure we have the full story on Ball, but he's a moral in our best 22, he sets a tempo

What a fantastic dilemma to have by the way.

Sitting there watching last night, to me it almost feels as if players are going hell-for-leather because they know that if they don't perform to a satisfactory level that they could be dropped.

It's great stuff!

Kosi mentioned after the game that he would have been right to play tonight with a jab if he hadn't been a "naughty boy".

You may be right, but it is a question of balance. Raph is most effective running from half back whereas the other two are sweepers. As others have said, the selection panel (Ross) has got it right so far.

Add to that plugger wants Goose in ( sad to say it wont happen ) and i agree we are way to big as plugger said re playing geelong , I think selections are going to be on a week by week basis depending on who we are playing , The hawks are really the only other side ( that can beat us ) that has two big forwards , even Geelong only have one now that they are using Hawkins in the ruck , thats one reason why if we were to play them in the final i would play Big Mac in the ruck up against Hawkins .

As for who plays out of Max Zac or Blake , id say the only certain starter is Blake

I would have thought that Dempster was in line to be first dropped after last night. He proved he is no forward. And I cant see anyone making way for him on the defence.

These are the changes that will probably be made in the remaining rounds prior to finals:

In: J.Koschitzke, M.Gardiner, L.Ball, Z.Dawson
Out: J.Gwilt, B.McEvoy, R.Eddy, R.Clarke

With Dempster going into the back into the backline in Raph's roll as another rebounding defender.
