Game lost at selection table

Post: # 781138Post Wolfpak »

With the absence of Kosi, we only now have one tall forward being in Roo.
The bulldogs will double tag Roo and we will loose game.
No Gardiner or Goose. Huge problem. Maybe Gilbert will play forward.
Again Stkilda you are going back to your old tricks.. ......
What is wrong with Gardner and Ball and why will you not play Goose.
Please let us supporters know.

I'll humour you.

Goose is unproven in our current team structure.

Gardiner is out injured.

Ball is not hitting the indicators for his team role.

All on public record.

Why is it that we all know these things and you don't?

Bulldogs supporter perhaps?

Goose has simply not being playing that well for Sandi...

If Goose is to be selected he would have to be near on BOG for about 3 weeks.

Having said that he is an emergency maybe just in case Max does not get up

As we know, two superstar smalls, a superstar tall and a cast of half a dozen players rotating through is not enough.

If we play well, we'll find avenues to goal.

Scratching my head over why Gwilt continues to get a game with all the quality in our reserves.

Here's the changes for both teams since last time:

St Kilda:
IN: R. Clarke, Dempster, Hudghton, King, McEvoy
OUT: Ball, Dawson, Gardiner, Geary, Koschitzke

Bulldogs:
IN: Ward, Welsh, Williams
OUT: Addison, Everitt, Giansiracusa

Considering the last result, can anybody really say that this game has been 'lost' at the selection table?

EDIT: got it woefully wrong first go. Thanks to 'perfectionist' for living up to his name and picking it up.

Must be because when he's in he does what Lyon asks him to. As for the OP,

1/ Gwilt has played many games forward this year...and while he did not star...he did not play poorly either...he did ok.

2/ He has a mature body. Being hard and tough is one aspect that we need to do to win. Someone like Lynch is promising...but he does not have a mature body.

Agree that goose has to show better form but gwilt was dropped because of consistant bad form then he was worst for sandy in the last 2 games

Why would you promote him then?
At their best goose is far superior alternatively goose is not as bad when at the bottom end

Like Eddy, Gwilt must be extremely fit and hard trainer...
Good to reward players for effort but surely ability has also its advantages...

Nice to see some of our supporters taking stock of the team's wonderful efforts this season, the superb coaching and our talented line-up leading up to the contest with the Bulldogs.

I agree.......a poor selection...

Gwilt <GOP
Eddy <GOP
McEvoy <GOP (at this stage) but a fair inclusion as a second ruck....

No exposure for the accomplished Lynch, or the talented Armitage is not getting an opportunity?????.....

And Goose should just not bother training and start his pre-season early at Carlton...

Riewoldt may have three opponents....his, plus eddy's and Gwilts to contend with.....because they will pay about as much respect to them as England pay to our <GOBowlingAttack

No but if you work for Visy your boss may require you to do five days work in one.
That's because 11 employees who play for Carlton don't do any work.
And they would all be paid more than you.

Goose< GOP this year
Armitage hasnt played for 3 weeks and not even sure this week
Lynch young up and comer not quite ready for the big league.

McEvoy has to play as MG is fit. Eddy is in because Bally isnt fit enough and Gwilt did nothing wrong when playing in the ones.

It is the best side we can put on the park or do you think RL wants to lose.
