Re: Gardiner
You actually did not say that at all. You said someone on SEN said so and then refused to add any additinional information as to whom the source was.Wolfpak wrote:Well as i said yesterday that Gardiner was not going to play. And yet many people questioned my rumor..
You were asked about who made the comment on SEN.
Forumites were not having a go at you...that just wanted to know who the source was.
That you cannot understand such a simple request and concept is your lack and not the forums.
If you loom later in the thread you will see that othe forumites added additional information.

No you were wrong.Wolfpak wrote:Heard on sen that GArdiner could be out of Stklida Team. Any confirmations?
You asked if anybody could confirm what you heard on SEN asd nobody could.
What exactly are you looking for - A 'gold star'?

What info - he posted that he heard on SEN that Gardiner wasn't playing and could anybody else confirm it?ohwhenthesaints! wrote:I personally appreciate any info, and after all it was right....
He never posted that he knew Gardiner wasn't going to play.
He also posted (I believe,or was that someone else?) that Van Berlo wasn't going to play from the same source (heard it on SEN). Is anybody claiming 'credit' for that rumour as well?
there's some high horses that ride in these parts...
really depends on how you want to play the words.
the rumour was right.
If a mate told me he'd heard a rumour about something which turned out to be true, the next time I saw him I'd say 'hey you were right about such and such..."
reckon Wolfpak's OP was reasonable. stated rumour and asked if anyone else could confirm. if he had a credible source would he have stated it was a rumour and asked for confirmation?

I would agree with you if that is what actually happened.66 Saints wrote:there's some high horses that ride in these parts...

But it's not.
Posters asked him/her a simple question - was it a presenter or caller who floated the rumour?
He/she chose not to respond to those, IMO, reasonable requests.
Now he/she comes back on looking for a 'slap on the back' for his 'inside info' that Gardiner wasn't playing.

Thanks to wolf I didn't expect Gards to play today. Thanks Wolf for helping me get prepared . Its nice to be informed with an element of scepticsm .Mr Magic wrote:What info - he posted that he heard on SEN that Gardiner wasn't playing and could anybody else confirm it?ohwhenthesaints! wrote:I personally appreciate any info, and after all it was right....

Fine, ohwhenthesaints! wrote:I don't get to listen to the radio an awful lot, so if something like that is floating around I would like to know.
This isn't about back patting the OP, not at all....but I would still like people to post any potential news on here.
On SEN tonight I heard the following:-
Kosi has a broken hand
Kosi has split webbing
Kosi will be rubbed out
Kosi won't be rubbed out
Ball was dropped
Ball was rested
Ball was injured
Gardiner was rested
Gardiner was injured
Which one(s) of these rumours do you want to believe?
Unfortunately, like the op, I'm not prepared to tell you if it was just callers spreading the rumours or if it was someone from SEN.
There are many rumours every day on SEN, some from teh presenters, many from listeners. Unless the person poting those rumours on here wants to tell teh rest of us the sources (presenters or listeners) we have no way of knowing how accurate those rumours are likely to be?

Answer the big question - will Gardiner play against the Mongrels this coming weekend.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.
