Nice to meet you too N1ck it was a great day although my voice is still suffering. Glad you enjoyed the function the Western Saints Committee did a great job.n1ck wrote:Function was good, nice speech by Ross Levine, as well as a good interview with the big G-Train, who seemed to be in good form after a big night! Had his whole entourage with him too.
Glad to have met up with a few of the WA Sainters!
Big thanks to saintbrat who introduced me to RogerWA - who thentook me under his wing and showed me around, introducing me to all the others, st michele, Riewoldting, Moccha, loris, hellorocky from wodonga (long trip!) and there must have been others - im sorry if ive forgotten!
All in all a good day, well done to Kim, Christine and the committee for organising it all!
Go Saints!

Nice to meet you Nick....you are a cutie Good to meet up with Bratty and the Wodoga tribe again.
I was most impressed with Ross Levine. Hutchy also spoke well. And what an articulate young man Luke Miles is. Poor lad has been emergency 8 times....but he is just thrilled to be part of the Saints.
Good old Fraser was the highlight of the function. He is just so generous and giving of his time to supporters. He was upstairs on our double decker bus on the way to Subi and he took it with great humour as we seranaded him with Fraser songs eg.,
"We love you Fraser.... oh yes we do" and "They call him Fraser Gehrig" to which Fraser would reply ......... "quite rightly"!!!! Then he joined in with out choir singing " Oh When the Saints........" throughout the bus ride.
So Fraser was just one of us fans going along to see the Saints. Well done Fraser for joining in with the fun and the spirit it was meant in. He was a class act on the day.
Hope all you Eastern Sainters that came over didn't get too sunburnt.
Obviously the team didn't like the sun also .... it wasn't until the sun went down behing the grandstand during the 3/4 time huddle that the Saints thought it was cool enough to start playing power footy for a few minutes to wrap the game up. Up till then we Western Sainters were a bit nervous, thinking we might have to put up with the Eagles lording it over us this week. Thankfully a few minutes of scintallating footy from the Saints made us breathe easy.

Met up with a few of the Western Saints and some other easterners at the function.
I can confirm the Roger does own a wallet as I saw it with my own eyes. I hope for all the people he owes a beer to, that he remembers to pack it for round 17.
Saintbrat, I think it was lucky that we were on the ‘wrong’ bus as it may have become ‘R’ rated if we were on Fraser’s (you just had to be there)
We arrived Thursday night and went back to the airport on Friday night to greet the players. I'm sure they won't forget the 1 person cheer squad member of our group as they descended down the escalators. (again, you just had to be there) we wished our local boy, Ben, all the best. In the last q we were screaming for him to grab the ball and kick a goal but it wasn't to be.
Met up with 'The Peanut' at the airport last night for a chat too.
Going to the sponsor's function on Sunday so will probably meet up with some of the Saintsational sponsors, see you there for #16
