You know I nearly put "but the Saints" at the end of my sentence!!stinger wrote:no it doesn't...saints aren't there....well...not most weekends.......SENsaintsational wrote:I absolutely love Perth. If there was another city in Australia I could settle in, it would be Perth. It's got it all.
But seriously, the coastline north and south of Perth is amazing, the town of Fremantle and that little Harry Potter street in the middle of town.
I tell ya, it's the place to be!!

Sounds Krishna dools. I have found their food in various places to be nothing short of sensational. And cheap.saintdooley wrote:btw nick, a nice place for dinner is down by the swan river, a vegetarian restaurant, i think Asian (actually i wouldn’t have the slightest clue, but its not Australian i know that) and you pay what you want! can be very useful when you are running low on money

Spent about 10 years in Perth. Great place to own a bike , and the south West reminded me a lot of Victoria , really nice place ,, but Christ ,,
talk about a parochial media !!! You would think there were no other teams in the AFL. And the bias ,,,, grrrrrrr.
Can remember going to games at Subi , standing on the hill and barracking for whoever was playing the Weegirls. I think I have written before , that on Pies games I actually barracked for the umpire.
I left in 2001 to come here , so with the net and foxtel, i imagine things over there are heaps better.
1992 , the city was awash with blue and yellow ,, it was everywhere during the finals ,,, probably 94 as well ,,,
The good news was , I could always buy a VB

Function was good, nice speech by Ross Levine, as well as a good interview with the big G-Train, who seemed to be in good form after a big night! Had his whole entourage with him too.
Glad to have met up with a few of the WA Sainters!
Big thanks to saintbrat who introduced me to RogerWA - who thentook me under his wing and showed me around, introducing me to all the others, st michele, Riewoldting, Moccha, loris, hellorocky from wodonga (long trip!) and there must have been others - im sorry if ive forgotten!
All in all a good day, well done to Kim, Christine and the committee for organising it all!
Go Saints!
